I thought we played well against Fulham and if it wasn’t for not being bought a striker, Doucoure not squaring for an open goal, the ref not chalking off a perfectly fine goal and Patterson missing an open goal we’d have three points… not sure I blame Dyche for that.

Villa game was total crap and I blame Dyche for picking Keane but we were looking decent until Dom broke his face which was unlucky.

I’m going to wait until the next two games before knee jerking
Blimey, that's a lot of ifs. Pretty sure you could do that for most games (not the Villa one, obvs, where we were two down before "Dom broke his face"), but the reality is zero points, zero goals, five goals conceded, 20th place.

Yeah- it’s almost like he’s talking in the third person, as if the set up and preparation of the team wasn’t to do with him. Someone should tell him he’s not a podcaster and his job is to stop the things happening that keep going wrong.
Yep, it's truly weird.

Yeah it is a lot of ifs
I’m not into xG but apparently ours was higher on the opening day then any losing team all last season… I feel Dyche got the tactics wrong and was very unlucky not to leave that game with three points

Dom broke his face on about 10 mins, way before we were two down. It clearly disrupted us as we had players warming up, movement on the bench commentator saying we were going to make subs on and off for half an hour.
But I’m not going to make an excuse because there was a lot wrong with that game.

Dyche was touted on his arrival that he was capable of taking a championship quality side to mid table safety, but now we are being told he needs better quality players to achieve this.
That’s not what it said on the packet.
Any team that is set up to surrender the midfield and with it the initiative for long periods of play will struggle to survive in this league, as Burnley eventually found out.
What is it , 20 games in and 5 wins ?
And now after a full preseason 2 games , 2 defeats no goals scored and 5 conceded.
At this point he is failing as completely as any of the dismissed managers who preceded him.
Oh and Micheal Keane , what’s that about then?
Sorry, can't agree with this. That Dyche kept this squad in the Premier League is, for me, one of the standout achievements of an Everton manager, since Moyes.
Our squad is small, limited skill-wise, and mostly mentally weak. Ok, not like there's been a ton of competition in the manager awards category...still, his points per game ratio from the half season would have placed us mid-table for the whole season.

Agreed, the Michael Keane situation is frustrating - but it's frustrating partly because previous people signed other center backs who can't be trusted. For me, passing on Coady was telling. We are seriously skint - his fee plus wages must have been deemed too much, but I struggle believe we're taking numbers that would worry a mid-table PL club. I liked Mina, but if anyone is on at Dyche about him, they're forgetting how high his per game cost was.

So, yep, I hate things at the mo, and most of all I hate that we had a chance when Moshiri first came in to change our trajectory, but we blew the money on a load of mid-table players priced as elite talent, and coupled that with confused and directionless strategy. But I can't believe some folks are loading up on Dyche at this stage. He's done okay given the grim situation we're in. We're no long making bad expensive signings (woohoo...); now we're not making any or picking stuff out of the bargain bin. No other recent Everton manager has had to deal with that (except maybe Benitez, but let's not go there).

Not saying Dyche's a great manager, or above blame (Branthwaite?) but I think (for now) people's anger is better directed elsewhere.

He has nothing to work with and his hand is weakened constantly that team Sunday looked like it had given up already. The feeling around the club now is worse than when Mike walker was here. But this isn't Dyches fault

Not the biggest fan of Dyche he is what he is and kept us up against the odds if we are honest, but honestly because we have sacked so many managers it's hard to judge them properly when the club is such a mess. It's hard to turn a tanker of a club around that's sinking, when the manager keeps changing and the recruitment and mismanagement is so horrific above at boardroom and ownership level, whoever the manager is. Even Carlo struggled at this club. We need a manager in place for a period whether that's Dyche or not is up to him he should be showing more. And he needs to start making some good changes including dropping Keane and playing players where they should play. He also needs to make us harder to beat, I thought that's what his style was instead we are playing this weird pressing play that 's easy to play through and round and doesn't suit our players and they are a gang of cowards so will take any opportunity to capitulate if its going wrong we have seen this for season upon season. So they need to be instructed with simple tasks. Solid block that counter attacks and with the players we have we should just about be ok. But we need to see better asap, or Dyche will probably go too. And this the cycle continues

Sunday was the same as we have witnessed for the last few years.
It was the first time I have had doubts about the manager
The space on the wings is criminal, the fullbacks get left exposed.
The corners are another thing pack's the area, basically let's the other team play it into whatever area they want and when it gets cleared it coming straight back?
Do we really need Maupay ect in the area?
He will have to pull his socks up looks like the other managers in the prem have got his formation well sussed out and playing that way will get us beat more times than not.
The midfield looks lost ,
gana running all over the place,
Onana honestly looks lost, and add the continuing playing of Keane and Maupay when it clearly is working and never has done .
He will not get sacked , but he needs to shake things up or its going to be yet another long and painful season.

I can understand narrow defending but Dyche is going OTT. The space afforded on our flanks just lets teams to switch play and by the time our defence is shifting across to the flank (leaving the opposite flank exposed again) we are pulled out of line. A far post cross is all that is needed as the opposition will have just left a player in the chasm of space.

Dyche reckons the players should have time to shift across as we should read body shape of switch and while the ball is in the air.........well he should explain this to the players as it is not working and obviously hurting us.
The Keane situation is not helping him either and Dyche has to take the flak for persisting with him when he let Coady and Mina waltz out the door. Dyche has made our defence weaker, Dyche has not addressed the Striker problem before seasons start and I am not sure if the team is actually fit enough at seasons start.
Dyche has to take responsibility for not having the team prepared.

Sort it out quickly Dyche or the natives will turn

Agree with the corners.....if we leave a man up top then surely the opposition will have to leave an extra man back and the opposition players outside the box will have to position themselves thoughtfully to prevent a counter. At the moment as you say we leave ourselves vunerable to being penned back unable to get out thus increasing the chance ratio against us.

He gets 10 games for me, which takes us to the start of November.

If we are bottom 3 and looking as bad as we did on Sunday, he's toast.

New guy comes in after we inevitably get bummed in the derby and has a couple of months before the window.
Think we can be adrift at the bottom of the table in 10 games he doesn’t sort out the mess at the back and this shambles of board doesn’t bring anyone half decent in.
