Devil's Advocate, and trust me, don't want him, never wanted him here but...

...if I were Dyche this morning and had any sense of belief and pride in what he can do, he needed to banging on doors, Thelwell, Mosh on the Blower, Colin Chang and Kenwright, shouting the odds, berating their lack of worthwhile signings. Given what we know is needed on pitch and what he claimed at the end of last season about what needs to be done etc etc, but....

...for me, he is a man in the hotseat without desire to upset the board because there is literally no incentive, as either way, back or sack, he is quids in.

Landed on his feet here, as I've said before, he looks in mirror each morning, says "I'm an Everton manager!" Chuckles and pinches himself to make sure he isn't dreaming.

Never Good Enough For Everton.

With no incentive, there's no motivation to make it work.

Sick of this absolute s41tshow.

Finding it difficult to have sympathy with Dyche. We all watched him gradually learn the lesson that you cannot trust Michael Keane. Something we knew way before he did.

New season and he’s straight back in.
This is really the thing that's been the biggest blow to my opinion of him as a manager. He made a mistake playing Keane as long as he did last season, but he seemed to learn from that and changed it just in the nick of time. And I get that we lost Mina and Coady, but both of those were seemingly by choice. It's not as if he has absolutely no options: the need for getting Branthwaite in is so obvious to everyone at this point. So to see Dyche go right back and willingly make the same mistake again - I can't help but change my estimation of him. I really want to support him, because I'm tired of the managerial merry-go-round, but this is nonsense.

To keep us up last season Dyche got a PPG of 1.17, over his entire career he averages 1.10 PPG, I think we have seen his level. I don`t think it gets any better TBH.

To get to 40 points this season we need a PPG of 1.11 in the next 36 games... Wolves game is massive now but can we beat them if they play like they did v Utd at Old Trafford?

Dyche needs some wins, some have started turning, my issue is that he has all of pre season and we have come back far worse than what we finished last season.

If he continues to pick Keane he will be gone before Xmas, what baffles me is that he dropped Keane last season for Mina to save us but he has brought him straight back.

Unfortunately if you asked the average fan throughout the country whether Dyche was good enough for Everton it would be a resounding yes. That's the damage Kenwright has done to the club. As fans we've got to adapt to that - if we haven't already.

Dyche was touted on his arrival that he was capable of taking a championship quality side to mid table safety, but now we are being told he needs better quality players to achieve this.
That’s not what it said on the packet.
Any team that is set up to surrender the midfield and with it the initiative for long periods of play will struggle to survive in this league, as Burnley eventually found out.
What is it , 20 games in and 5 wins ?
And now after a full preseason 2 games , 2 defeats no goals scored and 5 conceded.
At this point he is failing as completely as any of the dismissed managers who preceded him.
Oh and Micheal Keane , what’s that about then?

Agree, just hoping we can get a win to settle everyone and the club down.

6 points from the next 2 might change perspective, but this is Everton.

yearh when we got him it was like

“dyche is used to this working with no money” making a team hard to beat etc

it’s our level we can only have this manager

given the state of the club
