Yes, exactly. Because they know they're never going to be relegated and they can afford to commit players to the cup cause. We cant.

Kompany was sensible and Dyche was reckless.
I dont know about reckless, our bench was highlighted to you earlier, he didnt have that many viable options to call on.

Look I would have played the Under 12s, but the manager put a team out to win the game and im personally not gonna use it as a stick to beat him with, but you, feel free.

Exactly, and you'd have done that for the reasons I underlined.

Dyche - I have nothing against him. I dont have an axe to grind there. But he's gone full throttle in a game we should have been soft peddling...and it cost us.

I think he got unlucky, his Striker got wrongly sent off and poor McMessi got a nasty knock, thats football im afraid.

Benching Pickford underlines that Dyche knows the benefit of resting a player for a cup game. Why he then chose his best outfield 10 to contradict that is anyone's guess.

Look, managers - and we all know this - have tended to back heel cup competitions if they know they have a job on staying in the PL. What I'm saying isn't outlandish in any respect.

Our top flight status has to be maintained at all costs. Fighting a cup tie with your best outfield players apart from Doucoure and Gueye when you're one point off the relegation zone and in a season when we had 10 points taken off us was reckless beyond question. He took a chance and it backfired. That's down to him. His call.
Too safe. Too reckless. Can't win can he? This is despite the mega improvement from Frank.
