It's wild, Lampard was a 'likeable guy' who some wanted to do well. So when he played possession based footy with these lads and they couldn't do it, everyone was happy to say 'players are crap what do you expect him to do', Lampard also pretty much ran with this line.

So Dyche comes in with pragmatism to keep us alive because, as everyone has agreed, the players are crap.

Now, because Dyche has us on 31 pts, everyone is starting to forget these players aren't good, but are blaming Dyche for it when they gave Lampard a pass on that.

City are the only team to beat us in the league in 2024 and people’s heads are falling off due to an away draw to 7th.

I’m not being funny but the Lampard stuff makes no sense to me, he was dreadful across the board. With Dyche though he’s “boring” and that’s about it. Best manager in years, getting blood from a stone but people want him sacked because we’re not losing exciting games 4-2 every week.

Dyche needs to have a long think about how he sets us up offensively. Braver selection, full backs should be encouraged to get forward to support wingers and not just stay behind them all the time. Onana should be encouraged to run with the ball more. Really basic things would probably make a big difference to our attacking threat.

It’s criminal to only draw the game against 10 men. Too defensive invited pressure onto us. The continued omission of our best midfielder is baffling.

This squad is lower mid table, which is where we should be if not for corruption. Dyche has done alright, we’re about where we should be if you discount the points deduction.

Yeah I think it gets inflated because of how bad Lampard was.

Mid table is the general standard of a lot of the players. Onana, Pickford and Branthwaite are better than that and arguably a few others. We're better man for man than teams like Forest and Brentford and certainly the promoted teams.

If it wasn't for the points deduction we'd be sitting in 13th place with 31 points and after the last few seasons that we've been through, nobody would be complaining about the manager

So I don't see why we should be now, where we are is not his fault and not a reflection of the obvious improvements he's made to us.

Keep the faith

Emotions simple as. I didn’t watch it, checked at 5pm just praying we didn’t lose and I was still fuming.
The last 3 years has just made everything worse. The club has been ran like a joke for years and thus the club has become a joke.
Dyche is doing a good job considering what is going on and the players he has to choose from. Still feel he has made a few mistakes along the way but every manager does. It’s just worse for us due to where we are in the table and the uncertainty of the future.

Harrison, McNeil and Calvert-Lewin are so isolated. Garner and Gana/Onana don’t get up the pitch to support. The ball is just booted up the pitch and hoping to capitalise on a knock down.
Dyche has done a lot of things really well in very testing circumstances, but our attacking play really needs to evolve. It’s league 2 tactics.

Dyche is doing a good job under the circumstances. Things are up in the air with the ownership and the points deduction, he’s admitted it’s having an effect on the players but we’re still competing in games and picked up points in 5 of the last 6. The two games this week have been frustrating though.

People want him replaced with the one of the only things mentioned being his football being crap to watch.

It will continue like this until Onana is a regular starter and an actual RB is played.
