Let’s see if he can earn his stripes at the weekend.

Starting Michael Keane will kill the atmosphere before kickoff.

He needs a rocket up their arse, let’s see if he’s got the ability to do it. Because this could be the catalyst for his future. Fans will not accept an abject performance

This ain’t Burnley ye bald texan

Can already see keane a bag of nerves. Not good for him, the team, anyone.
Big call for man management here. Is it take him out of the pressure. Or go handle it son.
Going on previous keane will melt.

Oh defo, it’s just adding fuel to the fire if he plays him.

And the message it sends to the players will be unbelievable; doesn’t matter how crap you play, if you’re in my circle you’ll start

I'm sorry but these pre match press conferences are a waste of time and resources.

Managers aren't going to reveal team selections, and will be cagey about injuries. Any questions asked will have either been pre verified or the managers just refuse to answer.

The lazy journalists never have secondary or follow up questions either, it's just an easy time for the manager because they either have no balls or they know nothing about efc. I'm guessing both.

Just saw this quote from Dyche regarding the collapse of the MSP funding deal.

It doesn't really impact in the sense that I know the realities of the parameters are from a player point of view, signing them and working in the market

Can anyone translate for me?!

He surely can't start him

I didnt suggest you needed a sports science degree to understand minutes - im saying you would probably need one to understand best practice to bring back a player back to full physical and mental fitness where they have had a dreadful history of injuries.
You are talking about 45/60 mins of a PL game being the same as a 90 minute behind closed doors knock about.
As i say DCL wasnt ready for any minutes of a PL game or i think he would have played. Thats why i say 'same difference', as he was not ready for even 5 mins of a PL game until he had finished the 90 minute knock about with no niggles or issues. It also wasnt just Seans decision on whether to play him, DCL has been having a big say on whether he feels physically and mentally ready to play 100% in a PL game. He wasnt ready, end of!
Dom seemed pretty confident about starting when interviewed after the last pre season game
If it was a set recovery schedule based in 'best practice' he would surely have known he wasn't going to be playing in it.
This had Dyche being extra cautious written all over it, which he also made a habit of doing at Burnley.
