Entertainment comes from stability and reassurance in what you're doing.

We have an absentee owner, a billion of debt, points deductions, and having to sell anything that's not nailed down.

Im not in the camp of expecting entertainment when we're barely functioning as a football club
I disagree entirely with this.
The whole purpose of spectator sport is to entertain , if it cannot achieve this it is clearly unfit for purpose .
One of the reasons we have less money is because over the last three decades our reputation has become that of club that offers unremarkable football , to most other fans we are an irrelevance , uninteresting and frankly downright boring .
Now while we don’t care what other fans think of us, in the wider world that perception of the club limits our opportunities to gain good sponsorship deals and other commercial opportunities. People don’t pay large sums of money to be associated with a club who values survival over the pursuit of excellence.

How is Brighton rotten a luck, we had a man advantage a goal up with 15 to go and the manager made a defensive change and we didn’t have an attempt at goal in them last 15 mins, while Brighton had 2 shots at goal. The mananger decided to go long and sit deep, basically nullifying our man advantage, that’s on dyche it’s not bad luck.
Yeah, bringing Young on instead of pace was pathetic and we decide to defend only almost. I believe our only chance after 10vs11 was quite a big one off target of Beto, but other than that they were pressuring relentlessly in the last few mins.

I mean they had a lot of shots on 11vs11, but barely got dangerous. We even came closest to a goal with the Doucoure shots, despite having only 1 or 2 shots before Branths banger.

Brentford battered United and should’ve won, and we’d be above Brentford if it wasn’t for the points deduction? Also Forest beat United, and I’m meant to buy that it’s completely beyond the realms of possibility for us to take a point off them? No, sorry, not buying it.

We did everything but score against United. Battered them like Brentford did. But gave away 3 penalties in the 2 games, and 1 worldie.

We can't score.

You must be a very patient fellow because we've only been arguably "entertaining" in the 80s and 2013-16 under Roberto Martinez.

That's a long time

Yeah, that’s it. Not that we want to win the odd game in 13 (thirteen).

Why are we now at a stage where it’s unrealistic to aim higher than a manager who was sacked by Burnley?
Because that is genuinely where we are as a club right now and no amount of telling people how good we were 50 years ago will change it? The auditors are saying AGAIN that the club is on the verge of going bust we have been surviving by the skin of our teeth for the last few years and the players we have on the pitch are just clearly garbage. The youth set up is losing its best assets to other clubs there is no money to buy quality players and we're relying on loans and clubs being willing to accept brighthouse style payments to get enough bodies to fill the squad no manager with any ambition or reputation to protect wants to be within a million miles of us at the moment there is literally nothing in it for them.

I dunno man, I think you’re really stretching to call that a good Newcastle side. Jacob Murphy is a Championship player and I’d honestly rather have McNeil. Elliott Anderson and Longstaff in midfield aren’t good players at all. Neither are Krafth and Burn at the back. They were missing Trippier, Pope, Botman, Livramento, Joelinton, Gordon, Miley, Almiron and Wilson who arguably all start for them in their strongest XI. I think most teams in the league go there and beat that side comfortably.
Most teams in the bottom half of the league are happy with a point at Newcastle. They are 8th in the league and still have quality in the side

Yeah I’d be happy with a point at Newcastle if it was anything remotely like their first XI that we were playing. Why are people acting like they have some incredible squad depth, honestly if that team that played last night was their first team they would finish about 14th like they were doing pre-takeover with pretty much all those same players.

We missed some good chances first half at goodison, once it went 2-0 we gave up. At old Trafford their keeper didn’t have to make a safe of note. He could have been smoking a cigar.

Like how we totally gave up v city at 2-1. And it’s like it’s city what do expect, yet palace when after them, so did forest and Bournemouth a few weeks ago should have easily got a point and had enough chances to get 3

Joe royal’s team 95/96 was a very entertaining side. Ans
Even some of Moyes teams played good football and attacked teams, we put 7 past Sunderland. His very last game at home v West Ham we played some brilliant stuff that day. Dyche will never change how ever long he is here

Who decides what's entertaining, i enjoy watching us being competitive and having a go at teams, as opposed to what happened under our last 3 managers - even though we have worse players- though we had a good six month spell under Carlo admittedly tbf, before Jamo exploded.
