Using the word 'comfortably' is a bit mad considering we've had 2 relegation battles over the past 2 seasons, and this year we've more than that to contend with.
We haven't had as weak of a 20 teams as this, not a chance.

The overwhelming majority voted for survive relegation as the season objective this season in our annual survey.
Without the 6 points deducted through no fault of his, we'd be 9 points clear with a game in hand on Luton, who have 7 games to go.
Playing 4 months of the season with that 10 point deduction too - its zapped the fanbase, I'm sure it has for the team too. Even now, we can't deny the second charge is like a weight over us.
Still, not many managers survive 13 games without a win.
Absolutely has to get a win against Burnley otherwise panic stations and you look to find someone who can remind them how to win a game before these;

I can't disagree with a word you've said but my God it's so bloody awful to watch .
I agree with that but still 2 points deductions makes a very big difference staying up comfortably if we lose say 10 points is a very big ask no matter how bad anybody else is.We haven't had as weak of a 20 teams as this, not a chance.

OK you said deductions so I guessed you were including 2 but in that case I suppose it depends what you class as comfortable I think we're at least 7 points ahead of those 2 teams so that looks pretty comfortable right now at least.Well let's ignore the second deduction, since we don't even know if we're getting anything yet, so 6 points off.
2 teams don't even have 20 points in April ffs!
Give me that over Frank Lampard trying to go toe to toe at Spurs away.
We need that pragmatism because we're a very poor side but I think we've gone too far with it at Goodison.

Yes, that definitely helps us this season. It might be the 2nd time in prem history that all 3 promoted teams will go down directly. We offered him a too long and big contract, getting a big relegation bonus as well, that's an obstacle for us getting rid of him quickly due to our bad financial situation. He's not the only manager whose approach amounts to flogging the players hard until they can't give any more, and then accepting that the rest of the season is basically a write-off (O'Neill was the same at Villa). On that basis, you could argue that it probably would have been enough to crawl over the line if another six points were added to the total, assuming you want to be charitable and not put the four-game winning streak down to a siege mentality caused by the deduction. I expect he'd call that proof of concept.
The bottom of the table is so poor, I still think we'll survive in spite of him. What's concerning is the prospect of a manager who's no longer fit for purpose at this level getting another season to essentially ride his/our luck.
I can only hope that whoever agreed to offer him 2.5 years is no longer in a position to make decisions.
We're a very poor side due to poor coaching and management. > Dyche is the manager. It's down to him.
Make your mind up lad you're the one talking about how few points the bottom 2 have got if only the third bottom team matters then why are you mentioning the others? Its 4 points anyway and we've got a game in hand but like I said it depends what you want to say is comfortable like if they get 30 points then are you saying to have stayed up comfortably we need to be finishing on 37+ AFTER deductions for it to be seen as OK because that seems a bit harsh to me. I'm only talking about it being a job done well by the way i'm not saying it means he's the best manager ever. But we're only 3 points away from a Luton side that cost about 50p.
There's a complete lack of attacking/creative ability in the side - and it dictates relegation battle.
Said it on here long before Dyche, and would say it after him.
Replace Dyche, and any replacement with this team has the same objective for next season - 17th or higher.
We're crap. 3+ years of results show it.
Next season if we do manage to stay up we will likely be without Onana, Harrison and Branthwaite in the squad and maybe more.
