Not sure what you’ve seen to think he will buy or play more creative players, he will play doucoure every game next year at number 10, even though he’s been poor since coming back from injury, had pace with dobbin and something different out wide in danjuma, but never plays them,
Even when McNeil and Harrison were stinking the gaff out week after week.
He has his style and what players will
Implement it and he will buy or loan that type
It’s the fact that I haven’t seen that is why we need it, last few games he’s had McNeil playing more in the centre, we need creativity in the midfield to be able to create chances for the strikers.

A large part of our issues has been chopping and changing managers. We could get the new bloke in and he might be a disaster, then we have to find someone else in Jan, rinse and repeat. We are still a basket case. There is going to be tough decisions ahead which will strip even more quality from the side. I don't think you are paying due attention to how many managers have looked utterly lost and broken on the sideline.

Dyche has the opportunity to put 50 or nearly points on the board. That's exactly what we would have taken at the start. Therefore he deserves another season to show what he can do, hopefully without the noise of points deductions. It's not going to be great but least we will fight.
Honestly mate, i dont think the 'noise' effects the manager (Only talking about it in interviews) coaching staff and players that much, his tactics, training methods, team selections and substitutions are NOT going to change if we have a billionaire owner and the club is making 200m profit every year.

Yes the clubs in a mess i get that, but what we are seeing here is what we were seeing at Burnley whos club wasnt a mess.

He is what he is, he is a modern day Allardyce, he has kept us up but the mentality from the club and supporters needs to change.

Brilliant defenders? The same crop had us in the bottom 3 under Lampard last season. The only difference has been Branthwaite coming in for Mina and Coady, and even that was at the insistence of Dyche.

If Patterson had stayed fit he probably would have played a lot more, and Godfrey had opportunities to build some form which has only happened recently, Mykolenko has also started picking up injuries. Young doesn’t play as much if these things don’t happen. He’s had a few bad games but also a load of game where you don’t notice he’s even playing. It’s a bizarre thing for people to keep moaning about the selection of one player.

lol no.

Last season upto getting sacked Lampard had holgate, Keane, Coady and Tarkowski as his 4 CB, he also played a different style to dyche. And why bring Lampard up anyway, we get told he’s a terrible manager and yet people constantly bring him up in their defence of Dyche, it’s like this group can’t play better football,
Lampard tried that and look what happened.

My point is dyche sets us up to be very hard to beat, at times it’s like we’ve got 4 CB’s and McNeil and Harrison are wing backs. And having 2 very good CB’s,
Keeper, full backs and hard working midfield will
Help you keep clean sheets, that’s why when we concede first it’s a long way back,
As it’s difficult for the manager amd
The players to suddenly try and go on the front foot

On the BBC....
Dyche said: "We have not been given an easy ride and I am super proud. The knocks keep coming for me as well - this job is not the way it has been pitched to me or what has happened.

Definitely a dig at the Everton board selling Dyche a dream that was far from the truth. I'm pretty sure the club wouldn't have mentioned anything about the financial mess and probably even told Dyche he'd have financial backing for whatever signings be wanted.

If Everton do end up getting a new manager over the summer, at least they'll come in knowing about the financial position. It's definitely no secret now.

….its very important we get him on a new contract asap.
I think if we see continued progress in results, style of play, goals scored, points obtained etc by say, next February then it’s time to talk about that….we’ve been in survival mode and Dyche has been a decent ‘war time’ manager despite going on a significant barren spell of results. We do need to start looking to progress at some point and I think we need to see that next season and that’s the time to look at after the Christmas period.

My work in this thread is done. (For now).

Have a good summer Lids! :)

He’s the hero Goodison deserves,
but not the one it thinks it needs right now.

So they’ll hunt him, condemn him, chase him with dog turd football, no plan b, hoof and talk about 14 games.

Because he can take it.

Because he’s not our hero,
He's our Silent guardian,
A watchful protector.

A Ginger Knight.

People are utterly delusional as to what our club has become. Keep reading people saying they can't get excited for the future with dyche as manager, that he's not the man to take us forward. Previously it was that he'll turn us into burnley

This summer we'll probably need to make 100m plus on transfers and cut 20m off the wage bill. We'll probably still have no ownership sorted and we'll probably still be facing points deductions and even potential financial ruin.

We aren't in a position to look upwards. We are still battling for our lives. Dyche has done an amazing job and half the forum still think everton are fancy and looking for a manager to match that and take us back into Europe. The clubs are the brink and people are crying cos we didn't make enough pretty patterns when winning our 44pts (and counting) or that we won them in spells rather than consistency. Yeah let's move him on have a punt on a name who might end up being the next lampard and give him a squad of players that can't play pretty football. Let's risk it all because we still want to pretend we are fancy
Pure defeatism .

'Now we are beginning to change it'

We have won 12 games in a 9 month season and half of them were won in just a 2 week purple patch (This week and just after the points deduction)
The other 30 odd weeks weve been utter aids.

You've achieved what you was paid to do, thanks for that, but time to move on in the summer.
So if you have a good run it's just reduced to a "purple patch" but a bad run is totally unacceptable and carries more weight than where you finish in the league?

Honest to God. I cannot believe the state of some of these takes.
