2023/24 Sean Dyche

Baffled at what I’m reading here honestly. We’ve just failed to beat a team that’s one of two that people have already written off as the bottom two. 1 point out of two games against Wolves and Sheffield United, it’s not at all acceptable. Neither is Dyche’s record of 5 wins in 24 games.
I think our expectations have finally been beaten down by the utter dross before us.

He just needs a full preseason with his own players.

Well I don’t know about anyone else but I’m certainly not upbeat after that. We are playing catch up with two incredibly tough games that we’ll be lucky to get anything out of coming up next. To be realistically sitting with no wins after 6 games is disastrous.

got to remember though mate, we need to cut Dyche some slack because of injuries, judge him after he's got a full squad to pick from etc, etc, etc...:hayee:

No, we're not in a serious relegation battle. It's only four games for Christ's sake. Were only three points behind Chelsea!

We’ve just played 3 teams that will be fighting with us to stay up and we got 1 point. We’ve played only 1 decent side so far and they destroyed us. We will be in and amongst it come May now the window is shut.

Its not a surprise though is it and the last time they were in the PL they did the double over us
No, sadly, it’s not a surprise.

I know we’ve fallen mightily over the last three decades but we should not be accepting that the current state of play is in any way acceptable. Dyche seems to think it is just because the players put in some effort. He’s wrong. Completely and utterly wrong.

Dyche mentioned fine margins in three of the games this year which if gone the right way could have us in a much better position. To a degree he is correct. Style of play is not good but we have been on a downward spiral for ages and have little or no resources. Not sure yet another manager charge will make any difference. At least we have potential goals in the team now. I say stick with it for the time being
So when we have three points from eight matches and are 20th, I hope you come back to this and vault yourself.

Not being combative, just making a point that if we leave this too late to sack him, we will leave the new manager with no time to make up the leeway to stay in the PL.

I’m all for a new manager if we can get one who will get better results than Dyche. I have no idea who that might be, but I’d certainly be open to suggestions. Not being facetious, just don’t know much about who might be a viable and better option.

Next 6 games

Arsenal H
Brentford A
Luton H
Bournemouth H
Liverpool A
West Ham A

He has to get 10pts minimum from those games.

3 wins + 1 draw at least needed.
