It wasn’t the result, because arsenal are a very good side, it was that we never even tried to attack until they scored, then suddenly we’re getting men forward and looking more dangerous.
The reason his first game, same fixture last season, was so impressive was that although we were defensive, we had a plan to attack and it wasn’t just a goal from a corner, we looked dangerous every time we went forward.
Today we looked absolutely abysmal on the ball and had McNeil basically positioned as a second left back and even Danjuma really deep on the right too so our plan seemed to be to hope for a lucky bounce or interception between Beto and Doucoure.
I had no problem with the first two home game performances, we played good football but were missing a striker to finish moves… today though… appalling.
