The knee jerking is laughable

Standing by what I've said all along - we've played really poorly once this season (if you don't include the cup game), even last week against Arsenal there were big positives about how we defended (but I'd accept we were miles off it with the ball). Otherwise, what I've seen is since the season began considerable progress on what I watched last season for the most part - going forward we have been miles better than last season, generally speaking. Until yesterday, the ball just hasn't been going in the net.

As long as the performances continue as we've had in 4 of the 6 games so far, the results will come. If, for any reason, those results don't come then fair enough, at some point you'd need to make a change but genuinely think some of the opinions about getting rid ASAP that I've read in the last few weeks are deluded for a number of reasons.

If he had McNeil+number 9 vs Fulham/Wolves I think we get at least 4 points.

Said it loads but no coincidence the best results/game - Brighton, Arsenal etc have come when we've had a fit number 9 for balance.

He keeps this starting 11 up, but if Beto gets an injury, or McNeil/Harrison - I really do fear for us.

My hope is we get to January above the bottom 3 and we bring in a couple.

Dyche got it right against Brentford, and had McNeil and DCL back which helped.

The merit in this win is taking at least 4 out of the next 6 points - and frankly 6 out of 6 would only have us where we 'should be' at this point with the games we've had.

I'm not against Dyche and believe he will optimize fitness and attitude on the pitch, which we need. He's now got better options to keep that fresh with Harrison near fitness, DCL 'available', Beto and Danjuma settling nicely and McNeil back.

Dyche can improve tactically. He has his beliefs of course, but I think he's not daft enough to ignore mistakes and he is improving with line-ups. We're still the biggest club he's managed and this season we now have probably the best quality attacking options he's had to date anywhere in his career (scary thought).

Get behind this guy. It's the board that needs roasting.
One win from 6 isnt good enough, not scored at home and beat in all 3 games.
People will get behind him when he shows something to get behind.

Yesterdays win changes nothing for me, we played ok but i also think Brentford were really poor.

Ok now be honest with what we have in terms of players, who is this mythical shamen that could have propelled this club to the grandiose heights you demand

Let’s be honest he’s been crap so far. The odd win and good performance here and there doesn’t change that. His job now is find some consistency which he has failed to do so far. If he does that then great.

Next two league games should be 6 points. He needs to sort out the home form which is diabolical under him. Sorting Luton and Bournemouth out, which we should be doing, would go along way to getting fans back on board.

Opinions like, but I think we've played well for most of this season so far and been incredibly unlucky. The stats would support that.

Equally yesterday's win changes nothing for me either - I can see a lot of progress on the pitch from where we were 12 months ago and getting rid of Dyche wouldn't be something I'd be remotely considering currently

Maybe it’s just the carousel of managers lads, maybe it’s us too.

Until sundown and then ZERO mercy. You have to learn.

Not really sure what the acceptable opinion is today - is he the right man because he won a match?

Yesterday didn’t change my view that he’s not the man I want to shape this football club.

It’s also a daft time to change manager - and it’s not going to happen, anyway. 777 might have their ideas, but I’m not even convinced they’ll be allowed to put them into action.

My bet is that we see out another interminable season with Dyche at the helm, and we go into another season of low hope and low expectation.

We're not going to get a better chance to put a 3 game run together in the league than now. Even 4 points from the next 2 games will make the league table look a lot better.

Got to be 6 really. If we can get away from 4 or 5 of them down there by the half way mark then we should be having a nicer spring time.

100% agree with all of this. Logged on at half time to see some of the comments and most were saying get Dyche out, were getting relegated etc. We were bar far the better team 1st half and unlucky that up until the equalizer Brentford's only half chance that they had went in. We have been the better team in 4 of the 6 league games this season and bar some poor finishing we would be sitting easily in the top half of the table.

Now comments are saying Brentford were poor and we wasn't much better.....only 2 teams won at Brentford last season. If we had some young European manager or even Potter deliver the exact same performances that we have this season then people would be saying that we have been really unlucky but can see there is a plan in place and results will follow etc etc. Sadly peoples mindsets are already set on Dyche being a poor manager and would take something drastic for it to change, when in reality in my opinion we are playing far better than we were under Lampard and Benitez where it often felt like the luck was going for us to get results, oppose to it being against so far this season. Hopefully after last night we continue to create chances and there is now more confidence in the team to convert them.
