2023/24 Sean Dyche

Finding a way to win in fixtures we've really struggled with over recent years is going to be tough for him and the squad. Lose against West Ham next week and that'll drain even the most optimistic who are clinging to stats such as the expected goals.
I’d really prefer we continued to play mostly alright and didn’t always win than chased some magic bullet that might end up playing badly and still losing. I can’t believe I’m saying this about a Dyche team but I actually think we should trust the process here. I mean I hate watching Abdoulaye Doucoure play #10 every week but for the time being it isn’t the worst way for us to be playing.

Imagine starting with a different lineup to Bournemouth today. 'whys he changed a winning team'

You'd need Dr Strange to find the universe where he selected a lineup today that could've done a job considering weve had two consecutive seasons fighting relegation and we've won 4 out of 47 at Anfield.
That's the reality of more or less, the last 50 years playing the RS.

I'd say cautious optimism over the start we've made but not getting points on the board has been an absolute killer for us. West Ham and Brighton are tough games that we need at least one win from to keep the idea going that we are at least moving in the right direction.

I don’t think we were that great tbh. We played within ourselves and gave them too much respect as usual. They were there for the taking today.
Same mistakes being caught on the counter time and again.
Can’t pass and no confidence on the ball. Having to sit back and defend is what Dyche is all about.
Distinct lack if pace in the team on important areas.

You can’t go back and fix those games. I think we keep trying to play as we are and hope the breaks come like they did at Brentford for example.

we look better with wingers and that side that started ( young aside )

is the best we have

Is that right mate, I guess I didn’t enjoy sitting at goodison when we lifted the league in the 80’s?

Fans like you have accepted the crap that Bill Kenwright has fed you and you’ve brought the standards of this club to its knees

You’re probably happy just to be able to play a premier league game and think we should be grateful
Not at all mate! Of course it's miserable being an Everton fan. But you can just wait until we hire a 'possession' based manager who fist pumps and shows #passion and you can start blaming the players then again when we're crap.

Brentford has to be the blue print for the next few league games. Get the points we feel we should have had early on in the season.

No mate, hire a manager whose teams average more than a goal game in over 400 games and haven’t actively spent their entire career fighting relegation

But bill kenwrights Everton innit

Drink it up mate, they love you

Literally everything about Everton has us as a relegation side, and you don't want a manager who has experience keeping poor teams up?

Taking both mcneill and harrison off at half time left us with nobody to carry the ball upfield and counter them.
Yep, offensively the game was almost impossible, taking our two most offensive players off.
Perhaps the RB slot will be reviewed. Seamus can't be too far off his forecast return , but this position needs serious consideration, for the longer term.
UTFTs!

Hes a kin dinosaur.. why not try n press give it a go at least?
The RS are a good side.. not great and with a bit of positive approach potentially there for the taking today.
Doesn't have it him.
