It's one thing to have a manager who tries a lot of different things without any of them working. That's sort of what Lampard felt like to me, which is why I never really had the same sort of animosity towards him that I now do to Dyche. That still gets you fired in the long run, but hey, at least you tried.

What I absolutely cannot stand about this goober is his insistence on making the same exact mistakes over and over and over.

I'm genuinely not sure I've ever hated a manager more, and that's really saying something considering what we've been through the last few years.
Imagine starting with a different lineup to Bournemouth today. 'whys he changed a winning team'

You'd need Dr Strange to find the universe where he selected a lineup today that could've done a job considering weve had two consecutive seasons fighting relegation and we've won 4 out of 47 at Anfield.

To edit, 4 out of 47 could be amount of Merseyside derby's we've won at home and away. I'm not sure.

But he didn't have to change the whole lineup. Just one player. If Patterson starts, who knows whether he'd be good or not. But I find it hard to believe he wouldn't at least still be on the field in the second half.

And I'm not just saying that with the benefit of hindsight. My girlfriend asked me about the lineup before the game, and I said the same thing to her then - it's fine except at RB. No way Young should be starting.

I don't think people would have griped about him making a change like that. Big difference between Bournemouth at home and the RS away.

Have you seen Patterson? The situation with him is he's not crap but he's not any better than Young, and our situation financially and points wise does not allow us to risk starting him in big games like today.

That's the way it goes'

Yes Sean if you don't say what you really think, it'll just carry on.

Stand up for the club and fans, take the fine + keep it in headlines so they'll think twice about doing it next time. Exactly what they did v Spurs.

Total amateurs running this club

Given how bad the newly promoted teams have started, you'd hope we shouldn't be right in the middle of a relegation battle this year. I just worry we haven't made the most of those opening fixtures so will stay around where we are for quite a while.

Unfortunately for people wanting Dyche out anything more than finishing 17th is a sign of development and I very much think he'll be kept on.

But here's the thing. Young is 38. He's never ever going to improve from here. Patterson very much still can. I don't actually agree that he's not already better than Young anyway, as Young has been a walking disaster almost every single minute this season, whereas Patterson has at least shown a flash here or there.

But for the sake of argument, even if you consider them equally bad, how does it not make sense to give the minutes to a player who could still improve by playing said minutes?

There is no way one can reasonably consider starting Patterson a risk and not think that starting Young is at least as big a risk if not bigger. How many times does he have to prove how bad he is? All the experience in the world doesn't matter if the player is simply done.

Difference between us mate is I enjoy when we win and you enjoy when we lose so you can get some Internet points x
Is that right mate, I guess I didn’t enjoy sitting at goodison when we lifted the league in the 80’s?

Fans like you have accepted the crap that Bill Kenwright has fed you and you’ve brought the standards of this club to its knees

You’re probably happy just to be able to play a premier league game and think we should be grateful

….I think it’s performance more than result that provides hope.

We were ok X1 v X1. We lacked quality to hurt them but equally Pickford had nothing to do. Dyche switched system and it worked to an extent until they got the penalty.
Were we ok? They really should of scored from at least one of those counters earlier on.
I couldn't believe those tactics. Onana's tackle was incredible for one of those counters.
And for what. It really didn't look like we would score from all that risk.
Harrison and McNeil were rendered useless. The press was ineffective in this match and when the ball was won there seemed little intent to retain the ball. What was the point?

Dyche has hung his hat on Doucoure. No ones really prepared to say it but the whole team hinges on the effectiveness of Doucoure and he just not that good.
He could of played Gana alongside Onana and played Garner with Dom for this match (or was Gana injured). Garner would surely have done better with the ball Doucoure got.

On top of this he made the Young and Keane decisions that cost us the game.
