I think we should be aiming for 10th, and accepting 14-15th as a par. Not lofty expectations, but a good target to aim for given the mess at the club.
Looking at the table, and assuming we don’t get a points deduction, I’d say 10th is definitely achievable providing we maintain some form in front of goal.

I suppose the wider issues of ownership and finances may dictate whether we have to sell in January and that could derail things. But, assuming we keep the squad together and no points deduction then I can see us being comfortable enough this season.

To be honest after 2 seasons of dire relegation struggle and a poor start. ( Remember Maupay was still lurking around).
We would have snatched your hand off to be 5 points clear of the relegation zone at the end of October.
It does feel we are going in the right direction for once.
We have some talented young players in Branthwaite, Onana, Garner, Patterson etc , pace down the flanks and a more potent strike force.
Dyche can be a bit stubborn and set in his ways but he is playing to the strengths of the players he has got, not their weaknesses.
Frankly, the likes of Wolves, Fulham, Crystal Palace are no better than us, it is only because we have been so shockingly poor that we have made them look better than what they are.
Tbh we should have 9 more points it was criminal we didn't beat Fulham wolves and Luton who were all so so poor on the day

Particularly wolves n Fulham

Let’s see how he gets on, he’s got a fully fit and available squad. He’s now got the team functioning, more or less, in every department (still looked a bit dodgy defending set pieces, especially at the back post against West Ham). So let’s see how we get on.

Wolves and Fulham we deserved to win, absolutely battered them but had no DCL, Beto or Chermiti at that point so I won’t blame Dyche for those games

Luton second half we were our own worst enemy though, resorted to trying to out hoof a team of horrible grocks which was pretty pathetic given our players are much better than theirs on the ball

The only Dyche complaints I have this season were making no attempt to attack against Arsenal and hoofing against Luton second half. I’ve liked all the other set ups and think he’s doing a good job.

Cheers mate, if it was that easy why bitch about it.
The reason is Chris, when I stated I could do it and would do it. It would be for someone who was actually interested in the results itself.

Whereas you simply wanted it as a prove I could do it.

I can do way more complex models then this but because you have been a complete bitch about it yourself. I won't bother in future.

I'm OK with Dyche at the moment...at the moment.
Il be ok with him when/IF he picks up wins or points consistently not a good 2-3 weeks followed by a poor 4-5 weeks otherwise he is just the same as the ones before him.

We've employed him to be different from the others in terms of results and performance and until that comes if it ever does then we will always be in or around the relegation places. Luckily for him the bottom half of the league is pure gash this season.

Could see the right results coming despite those early losses at home. Still they cost us 9 pts, Fulham Wolves and Luton for me. He clawed back 2 pts Sunday many would have us as draw at best maybe a loss, so we are still 6 or 7 pts adrift of where we should be. We could be in eight above United on 16 pts, if those forementioned losses had been wins
Those early home games could still come back to haunt him.
