Busquets was the boring functional player but one of the most effective of all time in his role. Xavi and Iniesta both had an X factor though. Xavi was excellent at ghosting into the box and chipping in with goals.

Actually, to my surprise, he did - for Barcelona! They both scored 13 times for Spain in almost identical numbers of caps. I think what I was trying to express was Iniesta took more risks with the ball - he liked a dribble. Xavi played more percentages - superbly.

You make it sound like he was some sort of sideways passing crab. He had absolutely fantastic vision and passing ability and ball manipulation and he generally passed progressively. He didn't have pace or strength so would never really run with the ball but he was joy to watch as was Busquets

Besides the obviously bizarre Lennon shout that others have already shot down, we're 8pts above the relegation zone with one game left in November. Giving you the benefit of the doubt (despite your Lennon shout) there are 5 games in December. The bottom 3 have got 6,5, and 4 pts from 12 games. What makes you think they will be anywhere near us after the next 6 games?

The weirdest thing about this season is that many of the games we have lost we had a high xG and since we've started winning games our xG has gone right down. It's almost as if xG doesn't mean anything at all.

It’s just one shout. The same poster is such a good judge he stated that Paulo Maldini wasnt as good as Gary Stevens and that Kevin Ratcliffe was a better CB than Nesta. That particular Rangers hating vacuum has about as much authority as a “do not tumble dry” label, he’s beyond parody.

Stevens and Rats were world class players in a world class team. Anyone that seen them knows that. Different eras but 90s ACMilan strolled through life and carried many a player.

You must be his agent, it’s the only plausible explanation for this opinion.

Another poster first mentioned Lennon. My original comment on him was ages ago but I absolutely stand by the comment he would be a better manager for us than Dyche.
