The Michael Keane is bigger than just him playing; it’s the message it sends to everyone else in the squadIn my opinion;
- He shouldn't be starting Keane ahead of Branthwaite.
- What is Onana's role in the team? Whatever it is, it's not working and I'm inclined to think it's on Dyche because I can't for the life of me work out what role he has.
- Garner should be centre mid.
- Doucoure isn't a number 10, just pack that in.
I also find it baffling how often he says players are still getting fit and sharp - the other day he was saying it of Branthwaite - the lad was playing vs Stoke in pre-season a month ago.
Yeah that 1.19 goals per game over the course of 400 games is beyond embarrassing. He's averaged approximately 1 goal per game over his managerial career. If you look at his top flight record, it is less than 1 goal per game. Why he is so revered by some on here is beyond me. How he is on the salary he is on is beyond me. After Burnley, nobody (except us, obviously) would touch him with a barge pole. He's a modern day Joe Kinnear.
He’s a classic media creation. All buzz words and cliches. His time at Burnley has been massively overstated by the masses. I have no idea what people watched when he was at Burnely but it was clearly a different team to me
Oh I forgot, he got them into Europe once by scoring 36 goals
As soon as he saved us we should have been in for Harry Potter....I wasn't happy with this appointment at all, however, I did think that he would at least bring organisation, fitness and 100% effort. Those were all the quintessential ingredients of a Sean Dyche team. On that basis I was happy to give him the benefit of the doubt as I thought he would keep us ticking over until Bramley Moore, and Moshiri s inevitable sale of the club, at which time we could re-boot, still as a premier league team.
With hindsight, I don't believe that will happen, the defence is even more shambolic than it was under Benitez and Lampard and his insistence on playing his teachers pet week after week smacks of stubbornness. It also appears that nobody is sure what their role is and as far as 100% effort goes, they didn't look remotely interested for the most part yesterday.
What the solution is, God alone knows, even if we could persuade a decent coach to come here, we just don't currently have the resources to back him. I guess it's either line someone up in the next 2 days, bring him in, sell Onana and Gray and give the new man the money to spend before September, or cross our fingers that Dyche keeps us up. So I guess on the good ship Everton, that means waste the few bob we have on Evans and bury our heads in the sand.
Dyche, Keane, Maupay...OUT!!!He is going to get himself done before October if he carries on with Keane, look at the stats all the details and we are a significantly worse side with him in the lineup.
- Onana am not sure what he's asking him to do.
- Garner is (at this time) our most technical midfielder, he needs to not be played wide.
- Gana being deployed anywhere feels mental again to me.
Dyche totally earned the right to continue, but he is making mental decisions. Some of it is forced by the club and their complete incompetence, but he totally isn't without blame.
Potter in after the International break...Dyche is Done.As soon as he saved us we should have been in for Harry Potter....
Notice the Keane ideology left out of most pre season friendlies to give us hope .... he was on his way out of the club .... Kidology by Dyche - both need to go now ....The Michael Keane is bigger than just him playing; it’s the message it sends to everyone else in the squad
Here is a player that was shoehorned in after Coady made 2 mins takes in 2 games. This guy then proceeded to be part of a team that went on to pick up 4 points from 21
After a number of high profile mistakes that almost cost us our status, he was eventually dropped; but this only came following a lot of questions from the media.
He has now been chosen as our starting CB this season.
That is an appalling message to the rest of the squad
Find it interesting that people think Iwobi, Gana and Doucoure are poor yet Onana escapes criticism because he’s somehow being used in the wrong way. At least the first three actually get involved in the game and want the ball, they don’t go missing.
Not been Garner’s biggest fan but he’s no winger, luckily we will have actual wingers to play there soon, and get Garner into the middle to actually get on the ball.
What a wizard idea...As soon as he saved us we should have been in for Harry Potter....
