He’s doing well lately isn’t he. Fair play to him. I wasn’t sure at first, he struck me as the kind of fella who would swipe between the arse cheeks of a stripper with his credit card to pay for a private dance but he’s got the team playing for him and long may it continue.

Freak being the operative word. Grossly overrated footballer but could have been a great Captain Pugwash.

What he has done is shown we can win games on the trot, which has relaxed the whole atmosphere and hopefully has earned him the credit to let's see where we get to. Fingers crossed he is here for a few seasons to come as it will show we aren't in crisis mode and we are steadily improving. Like Moyes, Dyche can set a base level in terms of player core values and attitudes, with a good set of hard working professionals for the next person to come along. Hopefully we don't piss it up the wall again by going after highly paid mercenaries.

The noise never stops unfortunately. One loss and some people jump on his back as they dont find him fasionable enough. For me hes always been the perfect appointment and he has now built up a huge amout of credit the way he has held things together. He wasnt just been managing a poor team when he came to us, he was managing fan expectations and huge amounts of disruption and noise. Im not sure who could have done a better job under the circumstances.

Or alternatively, we give him and Thelwell some dosh to bring in some genuine creative talent to supplement the granit core he has developed? The 80’s sides style wasn’t too different from this one you know. Built primarily on hard work and bottle and sprinkled with genuine skill from the likes of Trev and Sheedy.
