2023/24 Sean Dyche

Nobody attacks Brighton aside from the top 4 teams and they regularly lose.

We would have lost this 3-0 if we didn't park the bus in the first half.

You completely miss the point. Our front press high energy football were half hearted and abysmal. We allowed Brighton to move the ball forward too easily. Turnovers were too deep in our half and the reluctance to move the ball forward quickly contributes to the endless cycle of Brighton domination.
Luton beat them 4-0 ffs.

Do we've a better team than Brighton do you think?

No and we didn’t last year yet beat them 5-1.

These players and the manager earn millions a year and they can barely put passes together.

No one is suggesting we have to be a City level with possession or be like Martinez, there has to be a better balance than just launching it constantly.

The way we set up more often than not puts pressure on ourselves and invites the inevitable mate.

West Ham will set up exactly the same way Palace did last week. Men behind the ball, catch us on the break. Dyche has to be braver in his selection- Onana and Garner in midfield, allow full backs to get forward to support the wingers. A team plan to win the game, not simply to make us ‘hard to break down.’
These are the setups we really struggle with.

'the inevitable' - we're up there with least goals conceded all season. You're acting like we lose leads all the time

Circumstances weren’t reversed. In no way is 1-1 a good result with how it was all set up. Two points dropped and now add in the mindset that when up one goal and one man we can see it out.
I’m no dyche fan and want him gone in the summer. I was saying most of us wouldn’t have taken a draw before kick off. At 1-0 v 10 Men it’s a shocking result.

If you sit back regularly of course you risk the inevitable especially with how poor we are in possession and weak at taking the chances.

The one time it clicked superbly was ironically against Brighton, because we used the ball brilliantly in the counter attack

what is just as concerning was that in no way did we deserve anything from the game taken as a whole. really bad stuff today.

He has this sad sack squad on 31 points.

Onana missed a free header from point blank range where he misjudged it so badly that it hit him in the waist. And he's one of our better players\

Gana completed 25% of his passes today. And none of them was forward.

Build the gaffer a statue
