Dyche is on big money because no one wanted to come here and we needed someone to keep us up, managers who come in to keep teams up are always on big money. Dyche coming in to keep us up worth everything to this club, especially with the stadium. If they really brought him here to target Europe he would have got a longer deal.

I don't think that was the case. As far as I recall they only interviewed Dyche, Bielsa and Ferguson. Bielsa wanted the job but only wanted to take over the u21s until the summer.

The only thing that let us down was the usual inability to see what else was out there. I reckon there'd have been a queue of managers happy to take the job of offered 5m a year.
