2024/25 Sean Dyche

Nothing more factual than this. No cherry picking with certain amounts of games to work in either favour, just every single PL game since he has been in charge of Everton. It is absolutely abysmal no matter how anyone tries to glorify it.

This is horrific.

Lampard got hammered for his record. He inherited the team after Benitez and had a much weaker starting 11 / 14.

Dyche surely goes down as one of our worst ever managers

He is without question amongst the poorest we have ever had. His record speaks for itself but what makes it worse is that due to saving us from relegation last season after 2 point deductions and his never ending waffle about how bad we were and how bad we are and the best we can expect is avoiding relegation, he has convinced a small number of blues that he is the second coming and it is the team that are crap and we cannot survive without him saving us. It is quite astonishing really but thankfully there is a light at the end of tunnel as regards a group of new owners who are ruthless and will not tolerate such incompetence and low levels of ambition, performance and achievement.

Well I took the table you presented, and simply worked out the points per game he's averaging over a season.

We sat 16th at this point last season too.

If results don't improve, then he'll go. I've shared my view that if we fall into the bottom 3 at any point, he should be gone.

But small margins - we see out Bournemouth and or Beto scores vs Southampton and we're a fair few places up. Add some pace/better players into that final third and I think we move on up too.

Beto isn't it.

We had 14 points at this stage last season and had played some good teams like Arsenal and Liverpool.

We didn't.

We had 11 points at this stage last season after 11 games.

We're 16th after 11 games as we were last season.

Last season we lost our first 4 home games including Fulham, Wolves and Luton all at home. It felt worse to me last season - especially knowing a point deduction was coming too.

I think he deserved sacking more at this stage last season, than now.

Hopefully we can beat the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool as Dyche has for Everton before.

Disagree. We played ok in those games and created enough chances. That was around the time Dyche kept banging on about XG.
Fulham two weeks ago we were like a limp lettuce and they were by a distance the better side.
We look worse this season to last. At least we were knocking on the door a bit.

Without wanting to sound like Ronald koeman, that’s football isn’t it? Bournemouth and villa we had enough chances to easily win the games but didn’t, Ipswich we looked pretty good, then we’ve had 3/4 pretty turgid efforts, that’s just how it goes when you’re a bit crap. If we lose to Brentford I think we’re in to justifiably edgy territory, but if we win it’s probably a start somewhere in the region that I’d have expected. There’s fine margins in football, and your points don’t always come from where you most expect them to.

No. Its not. I wasnt overly worried last season as i just stated games lost i thought the performances werent as bad. Only 1 game this season has a 90 minute performance been ok. Ipswich. Bournemouth is possibly the worst in game management ive seen. He's lucky not to have got his P45 for that debacle.
Even Spurs last season we created chance after chance despite the loss. The season was a full 90 minutes of white flag surrender.
We are worse this season.

That seems like selective memory and recency bias to me but fair enough. It really is football though, win the next 2 and everything looks rosy again, lose them and it looks bleak, that’s just how it goes. If you’d told me in march that people would be saying they expected to finish top half this season because of how well we’d done last year I’d have wanted you sectioning, but thats where we’re at.

Why are you going on about top half finishes. going completely off topic.
I'll leave you to it. mainly coz i dont know wtf you're going on about lol.

Can't see us getting these surprising wins this season, we used our momentum well to beat for example Chelsea last season.

But Chelsea look much better than last season, we have a pretty horrendous program after Wolves till Leicester.

Bournemouth, Forest, are maybe winnable, but also they have taken a step forward.

It’s not hard to follow? I’m saying in march last year it looked like we were in free fall but we turned it round and now people think we need to finish higher than 12th as a baseline because that’s where we finished last year. It’s an easily understandable example of how football can be a fickle game and fortunes can change quickly. ‘lol’.

So if we fail to beat Brentford then we are worse off than at the same stage last season, having played basically no top sides. Superb.

Sack him.
