It's not unreasonable to acknowledge that there was no football for 3 months. Why people have to make things sound worse than they actually are, I don't know. I could roll a stat out now using the last 12 months and it would be more favourable than the 11 months nonsense. It would still be flawed tough.

To be fair we didn't have any competitive games during June and July

I wonder if any other team can say they they have only won 7 games in 2024?

I’m guessing the promoted teams can’t as they obviously finished the previous season well , and I’m guessing the relagated teams have managed to win more games after dropping down a league

11 months is basically the calendar year .. I think that’s a reasonable measurement …

I’ll just base it off the last 11 games then. That’s all that matters.

If a genie appeared and said im here to offer you 15 years of guarenteed PL football but all of them must be Sean Dyche would you take it.

This is what we've become. This is what would appeal to a Sheffield United fan, or a Burnley fan. Or a Southampton fan.

If it was 15 years of good times with success but it has to be Dyche I might consider it.

Kenwright and co have really done a number on some of our fans, gutting to see.

NSNO is well and truly dead with some.

The club mate, never mind the fans.

They've put us in an abhorrent position whilst promising good times.

Through poor strategy, consistent poor choices in all domains, and then just basically absconding we've got Dyche.

It's not hard to see why everyone is so angry.

Mate , we have won 7 games in the last 11 months . That is shocking

I suppose from the Dychette's perspective there is some semblance of positivity.

If you take it back to this time last year I think it's Palace - so 38 games, 12 wins.

Saves any confusion or embarrassment.

That is a fact … Dyche uses the “ one defeat in 8” doesn’t he ?

Fails to mention we got beat by a team that had lost 9 out of 10 games… fails to mention we never have the ball or score goals .

Makes it sound like we are doing well when we aren’t .

Other facts that can be said ,

No team in prem history has lost after being 2-0 up with 3 mins left

He didn’t win a game in August ( again )

We went 3 months without a win

goodison seen the fewest amount of goals last season of any other stadium in the league

I nearly agree. For me though, I've drawn a line under the first 4 games, and can see that he's bought himself time when he was in real danger. I've already said that if we lose to Brentford I'll take a hiatus from here. I just won't have the will or energy to defend him anymore if that happens. It can just play out from there without me throwing my opinion in.

Even if we all wanted him to stay, new owners means he's on borrowed time. It's always the way.

I thought the same thing about Eddie Howe when the Saudi's took over Newcastle United but somehow he is still there.
