2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

HAHAHAHA. you've clearly missed shouts like..

'He's saved us'
'Reduced the wage bill'
'increased player trading profits'
'He's done a phenomenal job'
I mean some of those things are valid points to go along with what I’m saying but yeah Im sure there are a few people who’ve gone overboard. They’re certainly dwarfed by the people who blame him for literally everything and turn every single thread into a commentary on how badly he’s managed that player/situation.

For me, and most people I know or see on here defending him, it’s just a case of saying I think he’s done alright in the main considering the circumstances. I don’t think he’s the only manager in world football who could have done it or that we’re going to crash and burn if he gets sacked, just that he’s not the completely incompetent buffoon a lot of people make him out to be.

Hilarious how pedantic you are being to find a defence of him. “It’s 8 months” 😂

Loads of stats are thrown out about how well teams have done in calendar years (12months), I’ve already seen them being done for 2024 so far. Funnily, none of them caveat it with “no football was played for 3 months so the calendar year is only 9 months”.

And funnily, we actually only have one game left in this, the 11th month of the year. So we are going to end with either 7 or 8 wins in the last 11 months, or this calendar year so far. Which is appalling,

Bore off mate. Football is not measured in months. It's measured in games played and points.

Pedantic my arse.

HAHAHAHA. you've clearly missed shouts like..

'He's saved us' - That's certainly what people were hoping and praying for when he took over. Do we just pretend we weren't now?
'Reduced the wage bill' - Think this is true, though I reckon it probably slightly increased this summer.
'
increased player trading profits' - True.
'He's done a phenomenal job' - Could you please provide recent-ish examples of people saying this please, or is it just yet more hyperbole from the malcontents?

Honestly. Better subs vs Bournemouth and we see that out.

Any manager that even tries to play football beat that saints team.

The way some go on, it’s like dyche is performing miracles here.

Had the easiest start in the league and all you are suggesting is he sees out a 2 nil lead and then beats the worst team in the league but even that is too much apparently.
The replies to what I said says it all really!

“We should be winning the league” when I said we should be between 9th-11th

Like I’ve said numerous times the problem is the hiring of 3 consecutive gash managers not firing them.

One day we s we will employ a decent manager and these same players will get us further up the league away from relegation consistently

No, nobody would take it. This is what seems to be really hard for people to understand, despite people saying it literally all the time. I don’t think anybody wants dyche to be our manager for the long term. Pretty much everyone who defends him is just saying I think he can keep us up and that’s all we need to focus on for now, but for some reason the common response to that is ‘SO YOU THINK HES THE BEST MANAGER EVER AND HE SHOULD WIN THE VICTORIA CROSS AND BE BEATIFIED BY THE POPE AND HAVE A STATUE OUTSIDE BMD DO YOU?’.

So you'd spit right in that Genies face.
Fair do's

To be fair Dyche had an unbeaten record in any competitive game in June & July

The ironic thing is that those 5 points would only raise us 2 places to 15th.

A highlight of how disastrous those results are and probably a highlight of under this manager, a finish above 15th isn't possible this season

Would be 6 points if we had beaten them. And that puts us 12th on gd. And comfortably clear of relegation zone.

What was his record in non competitive games against much lower league opposition during those months? 👀
Non competitive mate, he was working on getting them Dyche fit so we could start the season strong........oh.

I stand by what i said, Dyche's record in June & July in competitive football stands up along side some of the greatest managers in the Premier League
