2024/25 Sean Dyche

….listening to his post-match interview, I think he’s given up. He didn’t seem overly bothered and knows he’s on his way out.
He’s more or less openly admitting he doesn’t have the answers to improve the team. Just shrugging his shoulders.

If he’s concluded he’s incapable of improving the team he should have some dignity, agree a settlement and we’ll terminate by mutual consent.

Commence operation “Defend at All Costs”, which is amusingly a very Sean Dyche friendly mantra.
@Neiler @Saint Domingo @GrandOldSte117 and @GrandOldTeam @John from Bootle @Lanolin Assemble!

I don’t particularly like scoring goals or winning games of football so I’m still on the fence as to whether Sean Dyche is doing a good job or not? Perhaps there are some repetitive stats which can ease my worries? Maybe some stats from THIS season could be the best marker to allay all our fears?

Told anyone who'd listen on here before a ball was kicked this season. We're still relegation fodder who'd remain in a relegation scrap.

As I've said for 3/4 years now. This team don't have a final third capable of scoring which dictates relegation scrap. People told me NDiaye and Lindstrom would resolve that. Nope.

I hoped we'd be 17th come January under new ownership who could spend. I think that hope is optimistic at the moment.

You’ve also told anyone who’d listen what a great job Dyche is doing 🤷‍♂️

Mad that we’re the lowest scorers under a manager whose teams are regularly the lowest scorers in the league. I wonder what could be the reason for such a pattern recurring, with completely different sets of players.

Steven and Sheedy would score about 3 a piece in a Dyche side though.

He did a tremendous job.

As good as any Everton manager has since Moyes finished 4th;

The January he come in, you'd have considered Everton staying up a success for Dyche.

Last season, you'd have considered survival to be the objective. Even before the point deduction.

Dyche achieved both.

Sure, 12 games in this season we've been very poor. But then my expectations before a ball was kicked was to stay outside the bottom 3 come new ownership/January because, well, nothing had changed on the previous years. I wasn't convinced we'd improved the team, certainly not to the extent to resolve lack of goals.

Dyche doesn't deserve the scorn and abuse he gets from fans on this forum and social media. Especially given we all know he's on borrowed time an will be replaced when new owners come in.

He come in to do a job. Keep us afloat until new owners. Very nearly job done.

When hes replaced under TFG - we'll see this team is still relegation fodder. As it has been for a long time now.

They have to spend and spend big in January.

The manager is the reason we are relegation fodder not the squad, this WILL be proved once we get a new manager in.

Its sad to see fellow Evertonians backing his corner.

Just saw your edit.

You say "mad that..."

I say that's the reality we've had for years now and the reality of the team we have. The whole point I've made for 4 years on here that a lack of goals will dictate relegation scrap for years.

We tried to address that by signing NDiaye. And a player who hasn't scored in 70 odd games in Lindstrom.
