2024/25 Sean Dyche

But surely if it’s Dyche that’s achieved safety in the first 1.5 seasons he is equally culpable for us being very poor as you put it.

Your post reads like he takes credit for the first 1.5 years but no responsibility for this season.

Indeed.

Before a ball was kicked this season I'd have taken where we are now though.

We were 4th favourite to go do down with Leicesters point deduction assumed.

We're 15th.

Fans massively overrate a team that's been on its arse and averaged 41 points for 3 seasons on the spin.

The manager is the reason we are relegation fodder not the squad, this WILL be proved once we get a new manager in.

Its sad to see fellow Evertonians backing his corner.

It’s simply for the shame of being wrong being too much to handle, nothing more. Why on earth would anyone want to defend this kopite Thatcher loving cretin’s honour.

The point being he’s absolutely responsible for the good and the bad, not just the achievements

Stop making excuses for him.

Can you not see we have hired 3 useless managers on the bounce, this is the reason we are where we are.
Ehh not sure about that. In fact I think it’s the opposite, Dyche is here because of the circumstances, not the other way around.

Still, we’ve played about 70 good minutes of football all season. It’s December. He needs to go.

He’s left us in a worse position than we were in when he picked us up. He’s in the bucket of faeces with Benitez, Lampard and Koeman.

We were 19th when he tookover and you, me and vast majority of Evertonians thought we were down that season.

We've made a profit every window since.

We're 15th now.

He'll be jibbed soon and we'll quickly see where this team are.

What?

We havent hired 3 useless managers on the bounce?

Dyche is to blame for taking us backwards this season. Moshiri is to blame for us ending up with such a dinosaur of a manager in the first place ultimately.

We didn't spend a bean under Dyche.

The guy in your avatar is responsible for where Everton are.

We were circling the drain long before Dyche, and will be until new owners come in who invest.

Certainly not long term no.

But us being in a relegation scrap again is of no surprise whatsoever to me.
Why? We finished 12th last season without the deduction. The only “decent” player we sold -Onana - was not getting picked by Dyche anyway. Why did you think a team that finished on 48 points would drop off so bad? Did you not think this manager could try and get 2 more points over the course of a season and maybe get us to 50 points? Hardly earth shattering.

There are three categories for games in my opinion

1. Expect to win - we’re largely only getting draws
2. Hope to get something - we’re getting nothing largely
3. Expect nothing - we are largely getting nothing

That’s an absolutely lethal combination when we’re now entering a month when most (not all) games are in category 3
