2024/25 Sean Dyche

It's inconceivable to me that there aren't articles in mainstream news outlets speculating on Dyches future. Bloody Bournemouth or Palace would have sacked their manager if he had the results we've had over the last year.
So frustrating.
We saw it previously with Frank Lampard and others that the media advise staying with the manager, giving him time etc.

I think a win on Wednesday is necessary to buy him some time, a draw will get him to the weekend and a bad defeat then will make something happen.

The media just want talking points
None of what they say is with the best interest of Everton at heart

They got great mileage out of our struggles the last few years

But we can afford to sack him. He's got 6 months left. Either way that's going onto this year's accounts whether he's paid as per his contract up til the end or if he gets it all now.

Unless we haven't got the cash for the next guy, in which case, we're proper Donald ducked
We will have extra income this year from season tickets at BMD and also some sponsorship deals for the new ground may be included.
There is a chance also that we may lose a player or two. I certainly think it possible that we could sell a player or two , Beto for instance on a loan with an option or preferably an obligation.
DCL could raise a small fee as a club tries to bring him in early to help with their second half of the season.

Either way, the cost of relegation would dwarf any other costs that we might accrue.

It probably is most likely though that nothing will happen until TFG take control.

Trying to be rational here about this. TFG hope to be in situ before year end. Between then and now we have an awful run of games. with Dyche at the helm I can see 1 or 2 points maximum. so the calculation is how many more points would we have on Jan 1 if he was to be fired before TFG take over? Is it worth the aggro for the incumbent lame-duck board? I am sure they would not appoint anyone prior to TFG so it would have to be a caretaker. Would a caretaker get more than 1-2 points before Jan 1?

The benefit of getting in the manager sooner despite the horrible fixtures is it gives a chance to imbed the new style(which I really hope there wil be)
No reason to delay if possible

I really hope so. He's given up.
