2024/25 Sean Dyche

Spot on.

There's no reason we couldn't be where Forest or Brentford are given the run of fixtures we've had.

Problem is Dyche doesn't have his teams ready for start of season, he writes off the first few fixtures and with it a good start that can set the tone for the whole season.

I've given him credit for last & season before.

But he's done a really terrible job this season. Didn't build on last season, terrible pre-season and had the perfect chance to get players & fans up for every game in last season at Goodison.

He can get tf out and take his gaffer days with him. Any half decent manager would have us comfortably top 8/10.
Who like ? Ten Hag ? Howe ? Lopetegui ? Postecoglu ?

Our preseason was amateur and has been as a number of years now... top level players shouldn't have their fitness levels drop that much post season that they need weeks of intense cardio to get them back to full fitness.
Get them fit by playing competitive fixtures against top class opposition.

Top 8 /10 is a stretch
The games over 90 minutes. We offered nothing after 20 minutes. Evertons collapse after conceding 1 goal also comes from the manager
They've played 5 games under Amorin.
Hanging on at ipswich.
Hanging on against a norwegian team with a home capacity of 8000.
Brushed aside with ease by Arsenal.
Getting turned over by forest currently.
We can keep making excuses but the only team this new manager has battered so far is Sean Dyche Everton. He doesnt keep deserving excuses.
think Amorim is a perfect example when you assume things will get better under a new manager

Dyche haters today robbed of another opportunity to call for his head...

On the contrary…. The game being postponed meant I actually enjoyed my Saturday night for a change

It smacks of absolute desperation that we were willing to offer him that much to stay, because we were scared of losing him.
I absolutely guarantee, he will wait until 5 minutes to midnight to see if anyone comes in for him, then if they don't he will say, “Oh OK then, I’ll stay, where's that juicy 5 year contract you showed me”

We should have a timer on our contract offers. First offer is as good as it is going to get, offer on the table reduces by 5% as each week passes. I don’t mind a player who is pulling up trees for us demanding top dollar, but we can’t be getting fleeced by goalscorers who cannot score goals, midfielders who can neither tackle nor create etc.

Wow there's some overpaid dross in there
I'd imagine a bit of that is accurate but there's no way for example that Jack Harrison is on anything like £90k a week. He clearly was never on that at Leeds, then came to us as a Championship player.

On the other end of the scale, there's no way Jarrad Branthwaite is 'only' on £35k a week when we were rejected offers of £50-odd million for him.

I'd guess the actual salaries are ~30/50% either side of what's on that page, player depending obviously.

Branthwaite is on roughly that. He hasn’t signed a new deal since really stepping up, and certainly not since those sorts of fees were being mooted.

His deal previous to this one will have been whatever buttons he was on after signing from Carlisle.
