2024/25 Sean Dyche

I literally never said it would change. I said we're knackered as a club due to finances and you've decided to make a different argument.

Gana was one of our better players last season but you saw him take the ball off the keeper and pass it directly to a Brighton player for their second. It's almost like the squad is technically crap and limitations are needed to get through the short term.
Which is a choice

But he would be better centrally than wing I'm pretty sure about that.

Nah, he looks good when he comes inside because he does it at the right times; when the ball is on his favoured foot and there's a bit of space for him to carry the ball into.

He's too one footed to play centrally at this level. A lot of players are one footed to a degree, as in they will avoid passing, dribbling and shooting with their wrong foot. Dwight won't even try and control the ball with his right foot.

He's an old fashioned left-midfielder. If we had an old fashioned flying right winger on the other side, there might actually be a balance of sorts, but we seem to go with 2 wide midfielders, though that has benefits defensively.

Clearly he has schooled some managers in some games, I’m not going to argue that he hasn’t. His career average of 1.12 points per game suggests that he’s been schooled by many more managers than he has schooled though, sadly.
Maybe we need to drop schooled as a description of managing superiority.
I clearly have a different understanding of what it means than some.

It's no coincidence we always start slow, our pre-seasons are bunk we are playing Coventry and Preston and Sligo and other teams are playing several games against top teams.

Also injuries he is over training the players you don't get that many injuries from just preseason training. Also we can't freshen it up because the manager won't play new players and we can't fill the huge holes in the squad because of lack of funds and we never get our squad settles until the window is closed because of that.

Its hope I guess probably blind but..
We need to be realistic.

I will always agree with my number one hero Neville Southall in that you should try to win every game and the league other wise what’s the point?

The caveat at the moment is the club is totally hamstrung and these are not normal circumstances.

I think we have to be realistic until normal times return with a new owner and PSR off our back.

Dyche for me did a good job at Burnley, which is comparable to what Alan Curbishley did back in the day on first league level. Charlton and Burnley are similar size of clubs. But he shows his limits here.

In the end, it's not how it works. We drew City with Lampard, lost against all the teams that went down after that... + West Ham and Bournemouth...

Thomas Frank for me is a better manager than Dyche, but lost 6 out 7 against Dyche... More than that to that.
