Delargeinho
Player Valuation: £15m
I guess so that he would have picked Young over Garner at Right back. The irony being that if James Garner was fit, he wouldn’t have seen a single minute on Saturday.

That’s because McNeil takes every set piece. Want does he create from open play, very little and averages 2/3 goals a seasonMcNeil was our leading assist and chance creator, Harrison has had a full pre-season and was already here last season.
His output was crap but the ball over the head of Hinshelwood was very clearly working first half.
I'd moved him centerally and have gotten 2 more wingers with pace and dribbling abilites. His passing and shooting is good enough for a central player. It's what I see in him. It's 17 big chances created for him, the majority is set pieces certainly, have no idea how many of them are from open play.McNeil was our leading assist and chance creator, Harrison has had a full pre-season and was already here last season.

I have pretty low expectations on the playstyle atm, but I expect a manager to see some things that are not working, like Doucoure at the weekend. Then making a change at half time at latest.Lack of foresight, fair enough, there are certainly games where we need a change but a small amount of subs is something Pep does as well and their squad is basically playing a different sport than ours.
Players he can only pick what we've got and the ones who don't play are truly awful. Everyone becomes a world beater the less they play with our fanbase.
As for the new lads, only 14 debuts were made last weekend by sides still in the league from last season.
Only three clubs — Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers — fielded more than one new signing from the outset. More clubs — Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest — started with an entire side who were at the club in 2023-24.
Bleeding new players in is a common practice across the league but it's a sackable offence when Dyche does it.
I know this is a pointless aside....but it annoys me (to a worrying amount) how before taking any set piece, McNeil has to remove grass from his studs...he did it about a minute in Saturday...it shouldn't annoy a grown man so much, but...it does...Everton has ruined me as a human being. I need a holiday. That’s because McNeil takes every set piece. Want does he create from open play, very little and averages 2/3 goals a season
Him and Harrison for the majority of last season were terrible, but both have spent their careers fighting relegation so it’s no supprise how bang average they’re
Lindstrom has scored from one set piece and nearly scored from another, there is zero reason not to rest McNeil for a while his performance levels have been substandard for a while now. Tbh he just isn't a wide player at this level imo and Id like too actually see Harrison play on the left for a few games. That’s because McNeil takes every set piece. I disagree about McNeil, he doesn’t score goals or get many assits, someone pointed out he got 6 assits last season, ho many from set pieces? I’d guess at least 4. Last 2 years at Burnley he got something like 1 goal and 2 assists.I'd moved him centerally and have gotten 2 more wingers with pace and dribbling abilites. Forest is a good example when he was moved more centrally.

Newcastle away last season, he made impactful changes, but mostly he lacks of that.
The plan we had going into the game was good and understandable, but in the end once found out we didn't change.
It's true they were brutal with punishing our mistakes and individual mistakes were costly and the quality of them is much better.
I’m not a big fan of Harrison and wouldn’t want him long term, but I agree he was definitely better on the left at Leeds, another mental decision by our manager, that’s he hardly had a look in on that sideLindstrom has scored from one set piece and nearly scored from another, there is zero reason not to rest McNeil for a while his performance levels have been substandard for a while now. I'm no great fan of Harrison either tbh but McNeil needs dropping imo.I’m not a big fan of Harrison and wouldn’t want him long term, but I agree he was definitely better on the left at Leeds, another mental decision by our manager, that’s he hardly had a look in on that side
He's average and one footed, I just think what we possibly could have done with low finances and the players available in May, to still improve the squad and close some gaps, one one huge thing is pace on the wing. Would be better suited than Doucoure. I’m not sure playing him central he will all of a sudden start smashing in 20 yarders every few weeks and start threading through balls like David silva.
Being so one footed will also make it easier for the opposition to
Mark him imo, and every pass will go to the right
he’s a very average player, not sure you will see a big improvement from him playing in a different position
7 was obviously a fluke season. Maybe he can do it again, but having a bet you’d back under 5 all dayHe's average and one footed, I just think what we possibly could have done with low finances and the players available in May, to still improve the squad and close some gaps, one one huge thing is pace on the wing. As I got more and more frustrated on Doucoure, who was at first at least scoring, but not anymore in 2024. The squad adressed it to get Lindström and Ndiaye to play there now, hopefully we will see them and they can help...
4 assists were corners. Had 7 goals the season before. We scored 74 goals the last 2 seasons, he was involved in 19 in 71 games he played.
That can be, might be same as with DCL going over 10 or Solanke last season, because they had a system perfectly suited on them... In case of DCL it's still that he was atrocious at finishing open play.7 was obviously a fluke season. Maybe he can do it again, but having a bet you’d back under 5 all day
