I think the wording is more that we get too carried away with wins when they happen and set ourselves up for major disappointment. I think that's true tbh and I've been guilty of it a lot.
We only win 1 game per year so can’t be helped really.

I wouldn`t say 17th is nailed on, you won`t see 3 teams with points tallies like last season. So, if Dyche will be the manager for a while, and the team doesn't look coached, which if both of you are correct, will mean we should be expecting many more losses until he is sacked.
Certainly looks like 17th is nailed on.
If we sell JB before the window closes, we will be relegated.
Interesting comments from him here on some fans and the hysteria.

How have you the arrogance to say "we will be comfortably safe"?Brighton are ran such that they have a continuity of football philosophy, despite manager changes. They are a good team and look like they'll be contenders for top 6 this season.
You're proving my point about people losing their heads with statements like it "looks like they haven't worked on anything" as that is just objectively false.
I can't really argue with you on persisting with Doucoure, but I can see an argument for sticking with what he knows for the opening game when the team has injuries. He's a pragmatist, we all know this. Like I said originally, it might not be for you and that's completely understandable, but it's the way it is and is likely going to see us comfortably safe for another year.
Dyche did say himself that they hadn’t worked on tactics in preseasonYou're proving my point about people losing their heads with statements like it "looks like they haven't worked on anything" as that is just objectively false.

I`m not sure we get as many points as last season, we are doing the exact same thing again this season and can not score goals yet again but conceding... same will happen today.

Mate i lost my head with this fella when we kept him on after the Bournemouth game.Brighton are ran such that they have a continuity of football philosophy, despite manager changes. They are a good team and look like they'll be contenders for top 6 this season.

Why though mate? We haven’t won anything in thirty years so it’s a bit silly having an entitlement for success, we can’t manifest it just by demanding it....and he should really accept that and just get on with it.
This isn't Burnley or Watford - this is Everton. Our fans demand success.
