2024/25 Sean Dyche

I am not actually overly concerned which league we are in , I enjoy watching football even if it’s just on a park pitch.
I am far more interested in watching a football match where two teams actively compete to control the game. I enjoy watching midfield battles , intelligent football , good defending overseen by a tactically astute manager able to influence the game.
I enjoy watching football where both teams are attempting to win the game by playing competitive football.
Under Dyche we attempt to steal the game and spend 70% of it cowering in our own half .
It’s beyond boring.
It’s embarrassing.

I’ve said this ages ago, if some people aren’t overly concerned about relegation and don’t fear the worst if it happens, they are coming from a polar opposite side of the discussion about the manager. You will never agree with myself or others who just want us to stay up and see Dyche as capable of doing that regardless of style

If you posted this 10yrs ago I’d probably have agreed with you, inc the risk of relegation doing something more daring. Right now, not a hope. We are a ticking time bomb IMO

I don’t think many would an issue with us being defensively setup if there was an actual plan on we counter attack.

Even if it’s a simple as getting people around Dom when we go long ball, so we at least pick up the second ball.

What kills people is there is literally no attempt on to work on anything; the entire idea to get goals is set pieces which makes the situation a thousand times worse.

Spurs showed last week that they’ve clocked on to our “Tarkowski at the back post” routine

There would probably only be a club if we stay in the premier league.
I know , so everyone tells me .
Funny how we’ve managed to become the only club who can’t survive a relegation.
Since relegation is an integral part of the league system of which we are part , it would suggest we are so dysfunctional we have little hope of anything apart from this zombie existence we have endured for 3 decades now .
Winning nothing , competing for nothing , just surviving.
Maybe the club needs scrapping and rebuilding entirely, because this just feels like a long, slow death we are enduring at the moment.

Half of them wanted a 'rebuild' under Lampard in the championship

I used to mock the Lampard loving Tory Cult however these days I tend to pity them. They were exploited by the man in order to mask his poor management.

He knew full well by playing on the "Super Frank gets us" nonsense that he would get much more leeway than other managers.

'orrible shyster.

Yeah but under him we have shown up enough times in enough games to do “something” and get points. So whatever it is he does seems to work to the level required right now…getting us to 17th or above.

So two very bad games when we had plenty of them last season and still won 48pts doesn’t really phase me. Honestly I admire people paying attention to details and tactics like it was normal times, but we are a relegation level club with a manager to fit and I’m pretty sure this is what most of those clubs put up with a lot of the time. Terrible games and runs where you look amateurs and then somehow enough moments and games of a decent enough standard to pick up points.

It’s all par for the course.

It’s depressing like, but is what it is innit

New owners please!

Are you using Dyche’s performances away at Anfield and the Emirates as evidence that these teams are beatable, then using that evidence as a stick to beat Dyche with for not having a go against them?

We should be aiming for a top half finish not 17th. Without the points deduction we’d have been 12th last season, is that closer to 10th or 17th?

‘that we accept Dyche’s nonsense’

We’re in a very privileged position now where we can all write holier than thou posts about how we won’t tolerate the football aesthetic, his selections, his press conferences etc. Wasn’t that long ago we were begging, BEGGING, for someone to come in and save us from the drop.

It’s thanks to Dyche’s nonsense that there’s a premier league club left for everyone to moan about 24/7. You can all bid him good riddance this summer from your hipster high horses after he’s delivered a mid table finish, turned Branthwaite into a 70 mill pound defender, cut the wage bill, reduced the net spend, got rid of most of the dead wood from the squad, and left the club in an infinitely better position than when he found it.
I mean, that’s not on Dyche. He was already highly rated from his loan to holland. And fans were kicking off Dyche wasn’t picking him. He had no pre season with Dyche as he had been on international duty. He came in and immediately started putting in the quality performances. That’s nothing to do with Dyche and all to do with Branthwaites talent.

Best first eleven, fully fit?

Pickford (Virginia-Begovic)
Dixon-Tarks-Bran-Myko (O-Brien, Young, Coleman, Keane, Patterson)
Garner-Tim-Mangala (Doucoure, Gueye)
Ndiaye-Beto/DCL-Lindström (Broja, Harrison, Dwight, Chermiti)

Would look good enough to be out of a direct relegation battle.

More wishes than reality to see, playing Nidaye and Lindström inverted. In a 4-3-2-1

Mate let Lampard go, you are obsessed. He left the club 20 months ago. There is nothing left of him remaining at the football club.
Lampard has to come up because half of the people slating Dyche allowed Lampard to do worse than what they're slating Dyche for. It's important to make the point that people on this site would rather a guy who's savvy at PR and blows smoke up their hole about 'passion' than someone who tells them of how much sh1t they're in.

It’s not important at all to discuss someone who left the club 20 months ago actually. Unless you want to create a Lampard thread in the world football forum and you can freely discuss him in there?
