2024/25 Sean Dyche

Is this really grounds for euthanising the horse?

If we decided to go for a change that was justified it would have been after Bournemouth or Chelsea in spring. Before this series started. But he found a way to bring back results. So fair enough, whoever has the right to make decision decided against.

He had us over a barrel. We were the desperate ones not him. People don’t seem to understand that when they complain about his salary. We’d been KBd by Bielsa and were heavy favourites to go down with an extremely poor squad. No one would want a relegation in their CV. He could literally dictate what contract he wanted and his salary and we would agree to it because we would do anything to stay up.

I know Bielsa well enough to say that this would have been more likely to happen than under Dyche... And in summer he would have gotten a dispute about not getting players he want, he did it at Bilbao, Lazio and Marseille for example. I am taking Dyche with grinding my teeth...

It absolutely has relevance in the here and now when you're talking about fan reaction 2 games into the season.

If Lampard had 5 wins on the bounce at home and a home Merseyside derby win for the first time since 2014 fans would've been 'Super Frank'-ing themselves to death. I think it's important for people to realise that this manager is being held to higher standards than they allowed for 'super gets us nice guy' Lampard
No
What you are constantly struggling to grasp is the nature of the football he employs.
It is utterly reactive and passive, it lacks bravery .
But most of all it’s amazingly tedious to watch.
If he can at least begin to coach the team to be a little more positive and intelligent in possession that would be a start .
At the end of the day I hate the football we play under Dyche and unless he shows himself capable of evolving and showing a modicum of courage through his team , I can’t wait for the day he is jibbed off.

I hate the football and can’t wait for him to go

However I don’t want it now when I reckon he is still currently a better bet for staying up than any gamble of a new manager that would rely on our incompetent leaderless club making more crucial decisions

But again if you don’t care so much about relegation, and fear for the future of the club, I understand why you wouldn’t get that

Lampard has to come up because half of the people slating Dyche allowed Lampard to do worse than what they're slating Dyche for. It's important to make the point that people on this site would rather a guy who's savvy at PR and blows smoke up their hole about 'passion' than someone who tells them of how much sh1t they're in.
Both Lampard and Dyche are rubbish. Does it really matter who is more rubbish? We need to recruit better managers.

Last season, was last season. I dont believe the team has the same enthusiasm for him anymore.
Gana, tark, dacoure, young, coleman..all a year older.
DCL doesnt want to be here.
Too many under performing players dont seem to want to push themselves because they are undroppable.

I think the bottoms about to fall out of this team unless HE changes his ways.

We all know Burnley of yesteryear.
Physical, intense, dog poop football that took the league by storm for a while. Then teams figured them out. Then teams adapted to new styles. And Burnely became worse and worse. I remember hating watching Burnely for the garbage they played.

'here as long as he wants'
I’m sorry Steve. Can you point to the bit where I said “rebuild us in the championship”

Like I said, liar
