2024/25 Sean Dyche

Do those who want him sacked based on 3 games fear what comes next at all? Another Lampard style appoint would be the last nail in the coffin imo.
I fear Dyche is going down the Lampard route.
Their records here can't be too different and I suspect will only get nearer over the next few weeks.

But yes, it's a concern.

Couldn't see Lampard getting near 48 points or producing the quality of performance against Bournemouth in adversity. He's the worst I've witnessed, and I have a hard time seeing us attract better before a takeover.

Ignoring last seasons overall very satisfactory performance, and allowing the empty vessels in the park end to chase out the manager while we have so much turmoil off the pitch would leave us in an incredibly precarious position. It might work out, but I fear the unknown given the situation.

The direction is not satisfying surely, especially he had pretty solid start in 2023, but 2024 is a step back rather than holding the level.

So Dyche could go 17 games in prem with 0 points to have the same average as Lampard. Atm he is at 1.19 (1.25 after the end of last season) while Lampard is 0.92.

Bielsa is too old to return to high-level club football. He's 70 soon, he's had his day. If only we could find the next Bielsa.

Carsley is off the table now as he'll almost certainly get the England gig, so no idea who replaces Dyche, but Thelwell will have had several years to think of that. Still, we know as soon as Dyche is punted the club won't even have considered who they might want to bring in.
*inserts joke about the right back’s age

Bloody hell , over 10 years since I practiced but here goes.....

Yes in most high value contracts of employment there will be a clause relating to gardening leave.

However an employee can unilaterally be placed on gardening leave regardless of any clause. However this usually only happens when the employee has handed in notice to leave and the employer wishes to keep the employee away from work to , as you say , protect confidential information.

Recently Dan Ashworth was placed on gardening leave by Newcastle after he said that he wanted to leave to join Man U. Obviously I have no idea if he handed his notice in or there was a gardening leave clause but it would not surprise me if it was the latter.

Hope this helps.
Can we also place in a ‘please compete’ clause so he can manage another team? 😄

The trouble with this club is that over the years we have morphed into a right little poohouse club , we collectively cower in the corner scared of everything , terrified of any risk, utterly irrelevant.
No wonder the wider football world regards us with a mixture of pity , amusement and contempt.
Relegation is part of the game , we laugh at Americans who are puzzled by it., we insist it is an integral and necessary part of the game, yet we are now defined by our abject fear of it .
We are pitiful.

Its a bit strange to say "I have no idea" after so confidentially stating you it must be one of only two things.....that dont make sense if you cant answer the second question. Either you have an idea that makes sense and you can answer that..... or you dont have an idea.

Not really mate … I can’t tell you why he can’t win games in August but he picks up afterward.

Not knowing the reason doesn’t mean that you can’t see the pattern.

I don’t have enough knowledge of how he works, prepares etc on a daily basis.

All that we can see are the outcomes …. Which show his teams as extremely poor at the start of the season …. And this is by viewing evidence spanning 10 years

Because we have so much Debt, relegation currently could bury the club. Unfortunately the plague of Kenwright will be around for years.

So what’s the point ?
We are a zombie club already.
Apathy and disinterest will kill us also , it just takes a little longer .
We have become the only club that cannot risk failure so we no longer compete or even pretend to compete we just cling on to survival .
What a sad , dismal little club we have become.
Just a bunch of cowards.

Could you imagine, the first 3 league games in the new stadium under Dyche? Another 3 losses with 10 goals shipped! Its hardly the new start we're waiting for. I don't see him getting an extension, but I do see him here until the end of this season once we start clawing back some points.

"Only because we're in the new stadium, that doesn't guarantee wins, there's no such thing as easy wins in the PL. Youngy and Seamus are back on the graaaassss though Keano is a little bit further away. I was delighted to tie him down to a further 2 years though after very solid interest from newly promoted Coventrry. Once everyone is back, I think the 4-0, 3-0 and 5-1 home defeats will look just like a lot of noise was being made whilst we were changing the narrative as I'm still getting used to the smell of the club"

Errm mate what pretty solid start did he have in 23, we lost our opening three games that season too.

If you constantly make every decision based around fear of failure then the one thing you will guarantee is eventually failure
