2024/25 Sean Dyche

Onana only played around 60% of our league minutes last season and he wasnt pulling up any trees in the system he was deployed. How he is doing at Villa so far perhaps not a fair reflection of his contribution for Everton.

So far NDiaye has shown flashes of what's largely been absent since the waiter castrated the creativity out of the squad. Lindstrom hasn't looked like adding anything..yet.

Despite the quality of the squad it absolutely should not be anywhere near one of the favourites to go down. That's on the coaching and management of the side imo.

Would you have said to swop Onana for NDiaye last season? I very much doubt it.

As for "the quality of the squad it absolutely should not be anywhere near one of the favourites to go down"

Why? It's been there for years now. Under 3 managers. What's changed? Ndiaye and Lindstrom? Is that enough? We've not invested in the team. There's a reason why the bookies have us amongst the favourites to go down before the season started.

There was a fella sat not far from myself screaming abuse at Young coming on mate.

Young does not pick himself and is only at the club due to our dire finances.

These minority of fans should be ashamed of themselves. Plenty of fans who can't get a ticket who would be creating a positive atmosphere during the match. The club should start confiscating tickets from the worst offenders.
Fans who can’t get a ticket?Only 33k there last night.

Maybe the fans who wanted to bring a positive atmosphere should have come down eh, especially as the tickets were only £25 and £5 for kids…

If you can’t gain control of games, you are always gambling to get a result.
Being able to dictate a game , hold the initiative is necessary for sustaining some kind of form.
Under Dyche we don’t even compete in the midfield area wholeheartedly.
We abandon the midfield to retreat to our ‘ fortress’ but we forget to leave sally ports.
It’s an abrogation of any tactical responsibility to continually set up this way.
Inexcusable and very tedious to watch , it drains the passion from the crowd .
It produces only meagre returns.

And to me, that's fine for this season. Except he's not doing that. We're wide open. We're not even leaking goals, it's a freaking flood. Asking him to play expansive football is not something that's going to happen. But we can defend for f's sake.

Hopefully he sees out his contract keeping us in the PL, there is a new ownership group by May and we move on. If someone gives them another contract, that's on them, not him.

If we didn't sack Benitez when we did we would have gone down
If we didn't sack lampard when we did we would have gone down
I'm now at that point with Dyche. He's alienated himself from the fanbase , losing games from been 2 goals up,
And just been arrogant and obnoxious when he talks.

Spot on.

At what point do you admit, that the team is complete free fall ?

Five defeats, six defeats, seven defeats and so on.

Like I`ve said many times before, a losing mentality, is just the same as a winning mentality, just in reverse.

With every defeat the confidence of the team gets chipped away bit by bit, to the point were they think they`re going to lose the moment they set foot on the pitch.

You can already see it in the players now, the lack of self belief, the way they respond when they go a goal down and even when the opposition equalise or just score a goal.

As it stands, this team don`t believe they can win a game and that is 100% on the manager and his prehistoric tactics.

The likes of Neil Warnock could be doing Dyche`s job, for a fraction of his salary and getting the same results.
