2024/25 Sean Dyche

…..probably desperation, they were walking through McNeil and I just don’t think he wanted to introduce Young (he said before the game he can’t be playing 3 games in a week).

I suppose Harrison is an option but he looks as mobile as McNeil. Amazing to think we’re a Premiership club with only one conventional LB to call upon. Mackenzie Hunt was never deemed good enough but he’s gone and it’s such a pity ISS moved as soon as he had the chance.

I’m not aware of any LB pushing from the Academy @blueloon ?
So basically, let an inexperienced player with limited first team experience get exposed rather than the professional with over 200 career games.

And you really wonder why a lot of us absolutely despise him and his god awful tactics and understanding.

You don't pay the £8m up front in one lump sum, he'll just continue to get his ridiculous salary for the next year and a half. You're right about the nobody to sack him bit, though. Unfortunately.

I'm sure it still goes on the balance sheet for the year. Think Benitez's did when he pocketed a cool £10.5mill

He gets moaned at none stop for not making subs. Plenty on here have said against Bournemouth he should have brought anyone on just for legs.

In fact, after typing that I searched your username and 'tired' - you did;

The contributing factor was putting the wrong subs on and leaving very very tired players in the pitch

Bournemouth changed half their team, for fresh energy and legs. We left 36 year old Seamus Coleman on because the manager is useless Brexit bellend

This was his bench

He brought on Harrison, Young and Iroegbunam.

Dont think he should ever be bringing Young on,

Everton voted for 5 subs - idiots. Turkeys voting for Christmas.

It’s got worse over time & that obviously gets managers the sack (or should).

He had us high up the pitch, pressing and playing on the front foot. I’m sure there was a statistic about high turnovers in the final third. He’s stopped playing that for ages now & resorted to playing everyone in their own half.

I had no problem last year with being set up like that, didn’t have the players for it & our back 4 were superb. However he’s got better players in there now (NDiaye, Lindstrom, arguably TimmyTim is better on the ball aswell) & won’t adapt.

Only ends up one way that I’m afraid. BIN.

It was about a period of 3 months where I could see things improving massively that was between Brentford and Spurs away last season, I could see also an improvement in playstyle, partially good football, there were games like Luton that weren't satisfying, but the direction was promising. The regress has been terrifying since then.

16 games, 11 wins 1 draw 4 defeats (including Fulham that ended 1:1 regular time) 25 goals 13 conceded, all competitions, but only played prem teams.

I know they lost 2 players with Olise and Andersen that would be starting eleven in any bottom half team.

But they got in.

Chabloah, who I think was good at Chelsea, Sarr, Kamada, Nketiah, Riad (who is a good defender as well), Lacroix that worked under Glasner in Wolfsburg.

Could keep Guehi and Eze.

To replace Olise is hard, he could play a top 6 PL team or Newcastle and Villa with ease.
You literally just argued against yourself there.

They haven't replaced Olise, which you say is a top 6 player. Then just mentioned a few jabroni's who isn't on the level of Olise

So the defence is:

Yes it was perfectly fine for Sean Dyche to put a young inexperienced right fullback in Roman Dixon at left back and a career professional in Dwight McNeil at right back, because of the bench.

is this how low the coping has become???

How many of our players would get in the teams around us?
Pickford
Gana
Ndiaye
DCL
Big Tim
Tarkowski
Brantwaite
Myko

All of them would get in at least 7/8 teams around us.

You really believe that?

I think you really overrate us if so.

I'd dearly love to think jibbing another manager solves our problems. Just not convinced.

Maybe it is just 3 managers been atrocious, holding our players back since 2021.

No defence.

I'm merely pointing out that this was the bench;

The game before, you and many others - just slated Dyche for not putting fresh legs on.

He did so this time.

I'm looking at the bench and thinking, what's the point in making any changes.

He doesn't make changes - slated.

He makes changes - slated.
