2024/25 Sean Dyche

If we make a 10% improvement in defence we start winning games.

I'm pretty heartened by the quality up front we can call upon now. It's not a top 10 team forward line, but it's better than a bottom 5 forward line.

If we start plugging gaps at the back we'll pile the points on soon enough.
Please tell Dyche mate, he can't seem to see it

He can smell it though

Agree mate, the moods going to change here over the next 6.

Real start of the season for me.

Though thought we’d get at least 4 from the first 4.
Dont get me wrong, I'm appalled at this start. It's humiliating.

But I dont see the need for a new manager when it's patently obvious we know that when we get Dixon bedded in at RFB and Branthwaite back in the CD we'll start to sort this poor start out.

The budget has been set for the year and is set from 15th down, there isn’t contingency, in fact the club is looking for funding options to fit out the stadium after handover.

If Dyche is sacked it will have to be funded by Moshiri as there just isn’t the financial scope in the business in cash flow I believe. Also so would any compo to someone in a job and coaching staff - so you are recruiting in an obvious market.

I wouldn’t say Moshiri wouldn’t do it and would fund it, but he will only do it if there is a huge threat to the business and the takeover - thats relegation.
Probably best to tolerate his turgid, joyless football for another season, and spend time lining someone up
If his contract is renewed going into the new stadium we can definitely say goodbye to the club we were and accept the club wants to be relegation fodder

Dave, we didn’t win for 3 months with Branthwaite in the team last season

What difference does it make, what happens if it takes him 4 weeks to get up to match sharpness, what happens if he gets injured.

Are we just going to hope and pray the 10 behind a ball works??

Edit: Roman Dixon will not be our right back this year, he’ll play less than 5 pl games

We weren't scoring. Branthwaite and Tarkowski were still one of the best CD units in the PL.

We have some firepower now, I believe. Better balance between defence and attack when we can get our players on the pitch.

Marco Silva took off his striker Muniz last night just before pens because he is inexperienced at them and brought on Lukic who isn't.
Dyche left Joao on who didn't get close to saving them and could've brought on Pickford who has a good record.

Fulham are in the next round

We’ve scored 4 goals in the league Dave, it’s been 4 games. This time last year we had 2

As I said: we dont have a top half forward line. But we have a decent forward line that will get goals. Currently we're about average scoring wise for the bottom half of the PL.

I don't know, you'd have to ask him, perhaps they gave him more control over other aspects of the club and backed him in the transfer market. Either way it seems to be working as they're currently top of the Championship.
Nah you seem to have a lot more insight into a Championship manager and why he would reject the longest serving top flight club of all time, I think I might just wait for your opinion instead

It’s symptomatic of the malaise under Moshiri mate. If you continuously dilute quality, replace with inferior and refuse to invest comparible to your rivals, you are left with relying on pushing 40 value fullbacks and things like concentrated injuries impact , doesn’t matter who the manager is. It’s that bad we’ve started the season with an injury crisis - if that is actually possible.

If he was given a fair crack and not handed the manure show and juggling limits - then many would be valid with current results. Thats not the case though.

Changing mangers is like moving deck chairs around on the Titanic, the problems here aren’t endemic of the manager, expecting positive change on a rush of adrenaline, is fools gold.

The risk of loosing him is very real jeopardy though, massive stakes. Not many are successfully managing this manure show.

We will be fine though - he knows what he’s at and is a proper manager in adversity.

We’re basically at the point of Brentford away last season, despite all the histrionics.
