2024/25 Sean Dyche

Genuinely think it'd be bizarre to sack him anytime soon. In all likelihood we end up solidly lower-middle table, not in any danger of relegation, he can just see out his contract. That gives the new owners the whole season to properly plan a successor. Imo literally the only thing Dyche needs to do to not get the sack is comfortably not be relegated, and that honestly feels pretty likely.

Or the new owners might have actual ambition?

Might want league placement money (two places will pay off Dyche)?

Might want to start the rebuild now instead of waiting a year and two windows (for what reason)?

If they are sensible they will give a new manager the favourable run we have now and then January window to bring in some players to solidify a comfortable mid table finish.

He's got until the takeover completes now to prove he should stay the season.

I wanted a change ASAP. Part of me still does want a change now, but it makes no sense while we wait on the new owners.

If the deal completes around Christmas and were are still in trouble, then get a new manager in. The new owners should pick the new manager.

Take the negativity around the club out and I think we will see him at his best. Whether thats enough to keep his job is another matter, but he deserves to have a go at it whilst the thing doesn't have three engines on fire and half the crew is wounded.

He will get his chance not because he deserves it but because circumstances dictate it .
He needs to string a few results together from this point , ideally more wins than losses or at least draws.
We need to be out of the bottom 3 by November .
He also needs to manage a continued improvement in performances, which should go hand in hand with improved results.
We cannot continue on this run of no wins , it is unacceptable now and it threatens our PL status .
This would be true whoever owns the club .
He has been here long enough for us to expect better results than he has been producing .
Where we are at the start of November should decide his future with us .
