2024/25 Sean Dyche

No, I said if he wanted to leave we'd begetter getting shut of him early so we could spend the cash.

Apart from that *minor* detail, spot on.

Um:

As good as he is, I think we can hack it with Tarkowski, O'Brien, Keane and even Holgate.

We cant do without a goal scorer though.

You stay up by scoring goals. It hands defences confidence and the whole team feels less pressure.

I'd sell Branthers and go all out for a CF and RB.

We stayed up the season before that with a CB pairing of Tarkowski/Coady and Tarkowski/Keane...and the season before that with Keane/Holgate.

WILL be sold this window. I have no doubts about that.

He did a decent in-game management today, probably the 2nd time after Newcastle that it worked to have a better 2nd half.

It must probably feel terrible for an opposing manager to be out coached by Dyche.

Mate, we beat Crystal Palace at home. Just. It's still been an awful start to the season and todays performance hardly filled me
With optimism.

It’s been an awful start…and we’re 15th. When we lost to Bournemouth 87 minutes of a good performance is forgotten about because of the result, yet when we win the performance is apparently really important.

He’s doing what we brought him in to, keep us up initially, get us to the new stadium and new owners whilst we bring the wage bill and net spend down. If Branthwaite and Tarkowski stay fit he’s keeping us up in my book and then the new owner will have the luxury of selecting his new manager at the end of Dyche’s contract when Everton are a mid table club, free of PS&R penalties, and in a new stadium. We’d have all taken that in January 2023 after Lampard was fired and Gordon sold. People seem irrationally angry because he’s done the job we wanted him fo do. I’d hate to see this place if he’d taken us down and put the club in financial ruin.
