2024/25 Sean Dyche

I think it’s only as mad as people want to make it. Id imagine most captains have a voice in the dressing room at half time and i wouldnt be surprised if the speech is being massively overplayed by Young and Mcneill.
I suppose so , I stood in the boozer post game and I was hugely complimentary about dyche in relation to the changes he made , specifically at HT but also what I thought would be him taking the paint off the walls after that first half to inspire the turn around .

I’m not having a go but it feels a tad diluted by that , now ultimately maybe dyche asked him to speak and so still played his part however the young quote feels like it takes a little away from the manager .

I’m not looking to beat the fella , I was happy to win and think he deserved credit . Just my musing on the subject I suppose

Yeah i get what you are saying but we dont know he was asked to speak. He may well have taken it upon himself to speak and was left to finish. Either way i dont see it as a reason to draw a conclusion that Dyche has abandoned doing the half time team talk. I dont doubt he had his say as well as i cant imagine Coleman having 15 minutes of rallying cry in him.

I personally haven’t lambasted him at all , speaking for myself its probably taken a Little bit of the credit /positivity I was happily throwing dyches way but not to where it’s negative .

His remit is to keep Everton up.

When he arrived here - us on our arse and facing relegation - would you have taken the next three seasons staying safe and getting new owners and into that new stadium?

You and everyone else would have bitten off someone's arm if offered that.
Weren’t Burnley mate, yes it was when he came in, but he’s been here 21 months and has won 6 in 27 league games,
That’s not progression and we’ve played pretty poorly in 3/4 of them and we’re lucky to win them. His job it to get better out of the players and team make us better, irrelevant of money.

I know you havent and Im not suggesting you have. It was stated before that he can no longer be trusted to give the HT teamtalk based on Colemans rallying cry which, in my opinion, is a big conclusion to draw and another tedious reason for him to be criticised. Dyche made the half time sub which affected the game so thats good enough for me for yesterday. Who gave the kick up the arse is here nor there and as i say we dont know Coleman was the only speaker in the dressing room, i doubt he was.

Completely agree. Saying he kept us up and his sole remit was to keep us safe for the next three seasons is just not on. In the past when we have had relegation scraps I think there has never been an expectation that this would last two or three seasons.

I think Dyche is being given an easier time by some, who are using the move to the new stadium as being the catalyst for change so are content just to be safe but change can happy at any time (admittedly more difficult with less resource and with ownership issues).

I’m reluctantly satisfied to keep a Dyche in post for stability’s sake if he keeps amassing points which he has done the last two games, but we shouldn’t be using the move to BMD (which is what the three years would have been based on) as the benchmark time allowed for safely struggling in the league. I think that’s the thinking for people supportive of Dyche’s position.

I think you need to stop trying to be funny for laughs off your mates and read what people post.

stop being overly sensitive you big fart.
For me not that he wasn’t trusted but it feels a bit mad that the first half time comeback seems to , in part , have been inspired by the captain .
no coincidence we win our first game from behind since he's been here.... and he didnt even give the talk.

he's abysmal, TICK TOCK SEANY

Im not being overly sensitive. You need to read what people post before you you make your inane comments. If you read my earlier posts and concluded that i was mounting a robust defence of Dyche then i can only recommend a critical thinking course and a dictionary.
