2024/25 Sean Dyche

Been our saviour. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Been a brilliant manager for the situation we were (are) in and I hope he leads us into the new stadium, and then we can "Thank you very much Sean, here's a few extra quid. Please don't let the door hit your arse on your way out.
Edited to my preference in this matter.

But point well made in all seriousness Bez, he has done a great job since he's been here.

Getting the training pitch to the same size as Goodison, no gloves, snoods or hats in training, getting the most unfit team fit, (but seemingly slightly over-doing or even under-doing it now) and kept us up twice with a little help from the players and Thelwell.

1 win out of 6 games against a terrible team in which we were woeful for the full first half and some people have gone absolutely bonkers. Dyche has suddenly become Pep. Some perspective needed. Great to win and and lets hope we carry on winning but it doesn't change how terrible this season has been so far. There is zero chance that he is retained by Friedkin no matter what happens sorry. Nowhere near the quality or ambition that they will be looking for.

;)

He made good subs yesterday, put players on that people had wanted (Branthwaite and Lindstrom, one worked one didn't), he got us our first win of the season, seems strange to be worked up about it this weekend.
Habit at this point innit?

Personally I'm happy we won and still want him gone, and this 1 time he got things almost as correct as possible doesn't change that. He's seeing the season out anyway unless he Lampards it up along the way.

Tbh i dont think anyone has gone bonkers or said he is Pep. People are happy we won and rightly so. You say perspective is needed and then make some outlandish claims about people going bonkers. I dont think anyone has said our start hasnt been poor and most people are happy he will be replaced by the new owners. People giving him a small amount of credit after a win and a good half time substitution cant be a bad thing surely?

Uh huh
Four points from his last two games, Pep has two points from his last two games and on current form doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as our Ginger Prince.

I think, probably, there’s a desire to highlight that one win doesn’t change much.

Because it doesn’t, really. None of us should be happy with 4 points after these 6 games.

Good result, but he’s got a lot of work to do - and it’s not clear he’s capable of it.

I hope there is a prize for the couple of people currently poring over the thread for evidence of someone going bonkers or genuinely comparing Dyche to Pep though.
