2024/25 Sean Dyche

Oh and @blueboy72 - here is you, a few days before that same survey.

There's you, saying he overachieved last season.
Question is realistic target rather than expectation. Perhaps a difference.

There's also a pride thing, a lot don't like saying our target is avoid relegation (even if 35% or whatever it was) did. Especially in the days after the last season ended.

Epic vaulting @GrandOldTeam aside

This is NOT a good look from Sean Dyche, going on and on about LAST SEASON :

This also from Kevin Thelwell is not a good look, going on about Dele Alli, who hasn't really played in TWO YEARS

It suggests senior football leadership at the club are harking back to past "glories" as excuses for lack of performance now, and are going on about marginal players that haven't played for literal years.

That they are not focused on what is priority number 1 for this season:

Winning games

They are light years from focussing on winning games. They are focused on not losing games as usual. Winning is something for the future that they can’t control. Its no-one’s fault, they are all just waiting for JB to get fit, for Broja to get fit, for the takeover to complete, for Leicester to get a deduction, for City to be relegated, for the stadium move, for increased matchday ticket and hospitality revenue and for a big naming rights deal and more sponsors to remove all PSR risk etc etc etc.

I give Dyche huge credit for what he did last season, more than most people. Not for the football, but for the points earned, and for keeping 20+ rich men who mostly have no deep affection for the club slogging their arses out to avoid relegation and almost certain administration - from which they would all walk away unscathed. It was a rediculous achievement given the constant barrage of attacks.

But he’s spent years banging on about dealing with realities. He didn’t bring a list of injuries to the presser so he didn’t forget anyone. It was a clear (sub-conscious or otherwise) admittance that he’s no longer dealing with the realities. They have swamped him, he has no answer, and everyone at the club is just waiting for all of the above silver linings to miraculously save them. They will all feel they are working to the max, but it will be aimless, just hoping for something else to help them.

I dont think its ridiculous. I think its a valid point, we are so close to the trap door, it would be really hard to arrest this decline cycle we are in, particularly if we drop this year. On current form this is a distinct possibility.
I’m messing around lad, having a laugh in a depressing situation, it’s only thing we have left. A coping mechanism.

Just seen the team.

Get this clown OUT OF MY CLUB!

So done with him now. Loves to deflate the fan base before ball has been kicked.

Even if we somehow win, he’ll die on his sword keep picking Keane/ Young etc.

Can’t stand him
