I think the sexually voiced beaut will burn up at his next club, he has it cushy at burnley where he has created something, leave him to it.

Still not impressed.

If he repeats it next season I might be.

Dyche is not what we need. He has done to Burnley what Moyes did to us. We need better than that. But even if we wanted him, why would he leave Burnley when they are about to be in europe. He isn’t going to want to not give that a shot.

He’s just signed a new long term deal, and he’s their best paid employee, so I’d tend to agree with that bit.

Burnley were in the bottom half of the Championship when he took over there though, so the Moyes comparison is harsh on him, as in 5 years he’s taken them into the top flight and then Europe.

I think some clubs are going to regret not trying to tempt Dyche when they stood a chance of getting him.

Sunderland, for a start. Dyche was ready to go there in the summer of 2015 until a few Mackem fans misguidedly clubbed together to buy Di*k Advocaat's missus a bunch of flowers, prompting a change of heart by DA to agree to a brief ill-fated second spell at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland would now be lower mid-table PL if they had gone for Dyche.

Quite true. Until recently he was on a rolling contract but has now signed a five-year deal at a reported £70k a week. We were 16th in the Championship, one point above the relegation zone, when Dyche came to the rescue after "homesick" Eddie Howe decided to desert a "sinking ship". After 10 games with Howe, the defence had shipped 23 goals. After 3 games under a caretaker boss, Dyche's following 33 matches saw only 33 conceded as we finished a respectable 11th.

I’m not sure his CV suggests that he’s a man to stick around anywhere tbh, and Everton need a man who’s going to build something here, and that takes time. Whoever gets the job needs not only money but patience.

I'd love to have a manager who sticks around for years and builds something special. As you know, times have changed and a managers shelf life at a club are short. We need to get back to playing decent football and Silva would do that. Once we are doing that and challenging the top 6 can we start thinking about the next manager to actually cement us at the top.

It was more to do with the way he has them playing and the sorts of players he has. He has done a great job but if you look at his team and Moyes’ Everton, there’s no real superstars. They are hard workers who give 100% for each other and At times, play some great football. But that style of management is limited into how far it can get you. They may be consistent for years but then depend on those above having off years (like the season Moyes got 4th).

I'd hate it if Dyche left Burnley any time soon but I do think one day he could get a team like Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Leeds etc into the Top Six.

Doubtful, but if we win our last 2 games, Burnley could finish above Arsenal.

I was impressed how Atletico Madrid gave a masterclass last week with only 10 men for 80 minutes against the Gunners. I could see Dyche being similar to Diego Simeone if given the right backing. Not free-flowing with lots of goals but extremely hard to beat.

I can actually envisage Dyche reviving a team like Villa and making them a top six club again.

He’s done a cracking job with Burnley, I have my reservations but what new manager wouldn’t.

I like the team spirit he’s created at Burnley and that can sometimes be more easily achieved with lesser players, but the big concern for me would be how he would handle the pressure of us as a fan base (we would expect more from him in his style of play) plus the big egos in the dressing room plus additionally I don’t think he could lure the big players with his reputation.

For most everton fans he’s not glamorous enough, but I like the idea of us replicating the Atletico model, which I appreciate you feel backed financially he could achieve, managers tend to struggle at bigger clubs and that is my main worry with him.

Saying all that the board who make the choices don’t tend to do what I think and he’ll probably be shortlisted by the heirarchy.

If Dyche has taken some small Italian or Spanish club into the top flight and then into Europe on a budget of a packet of Monster Munch, there’d be plenty on here advocating him as a great option.

He’s known for being incredibly thorough in every aspect of Management, I’d take him over some of the ‘names’ being bandied around here for sure.

This is the point all day long.

He is over achieving. That’s what we need.

I personally think Dyche is going to make a lot of people eat their words in the next 5 years or so

He's got far more strings to his bow than people give him credit for

Relegation is one of them too.

Not doubting he's done a good job but end of the day he stole a march on us, Saints, and Leicester who have had managerial changes and unrest.

We've been shocking but sit 8th and 6 points behind them.

He'll be a novice in the Europa that starts bang after the world cup to contend with as well as the league and cups.

Would slap more dollar on Burnley struggling big time than saying he'll make people eat their words.
