Relegation is one of them too.

Not doubting he's done a good job but end of the day he stole a march on us, Saints, and Leicester who have had managerial changes and unrest.

We've been shocking but sit 8th and 6 points behind them.

He'll be a novice in the Europa that starts bang after the world cup to contend with as well as the league and cups.

Would slap more dollar on Burnley struggling big time than saying he'll make people eat their words.

So what if he does struggle next season?

They aren't many managers who wouldn't struggle balancing a European and Domestic campaign with a club that has Burnley's finances

And even if they do struggle, that's just one season. The achievement of getting Burnley where they are has been incredibly impressive

The fact he was relegated but then stuck with the club and got them back up is something that goes in his favour, not against him

I can't think of many managers out there who would stick with a relegated team these days

Martinez and Silva didn't for instance

It speaks well of his character that he stuck with them and got them promoted again

Dyche has many positive qualities and I honestly think he's going to prove his critics wrong in the coming years

Taking a leap of faith on something that you think might be good based on some foreigner that has some one horse race in a third tier league... that seems like the logic of brexit voter to me.

People that think a foreign manager is going come in and compete with, but without outspending the current top 6 are in cloud cuckoo land. We will end up with a Southampton / Watford model. Any success they leave, or we sack them regularly.

Our best best is a long term motivator, who gets the club.

No.

The only thing he has in common with Alardyce is he is English.
He talks about the success of the team, and is not a self promoter.
I understand people not fancying him, but “brexit”, relegation, not a winner (and only comparing him to third rate title winners or people that have spent billions) or he is like allardyce - these weak points only serve me to think there is no argument against.

Another Moyes is potentially a strong argument. I wouldn’t want Moyes back now, however he did a great job for us with money he spent (far less than all subsequent managers and we are no better).
If you are asking me whether I would take a younger Moyes type manager with a bit more money and a bit more quality on the pitch. Yep, I would take that for our next step, all day.

The same people that thought Silva was the best Mansger for us in November are now thinking he would be he is the worse choice out there. Too many on here can’t see past the current flavour of the month.

Big name managers have the pull to bring in big name players. The other way of bringing in big name players is getting top 4 night but that's not happening anytime soon.

Go to a decent manager and say here's 150m let's see what you can do, there got to be someone who will say yes. I'd also get rid of the dof and give the manager the full reigns of the transfers.

If sean dyche comes in his going to bring in players he has worked with before, probably keep Duncan Ferguson. ETC
Same **** different day

Who is big a name manager we are linked with?
Ukrainian league titles don’t attract big names.

There's plenty of managers out there, the transfer money and the fact he will be one of the highest earning managers in the world isnsurely enough to tempt one of them

Just another Sam really. Cannot imagine foreign players wanting to sign for him. Do we really want to play like Burnley? Great defence and hardly any goals scored at the other end. His physical appearance would attract undue attention from the purveyors of juvenile abuse on here. Only the handsome Silva would avoid that sort of abuse but who wants him anyway. I think Moshiri will stick with Sam and hope someone decent comes up next year when we have got to 6th place with Sam.

Of course it's impressive. But doesn't mean he's of calibre to take charge of us. And doesn't change the fact rivals for that 7th/6th place have not challenged them for various reasons (manager unrest etc).

He'll be forgotten about next season just like Eddie Howe was after getting Bournemouth to 9th while Burnley struggled in a relegation scrap because he had a poor start to this season.

As for loyalty...no one was interested in Dyche so he stayed. Silva is a flake of a manager. Martinez stayed at Wigan for years, won the FACup, and got a better job.
