And that's just Kenwright.I think we could have attracted far bigger names at the start of summer but no top manager would touch this squad it’s absolutely poisonous. Slow, over weight, mentally weak, stupid, cowardly, injury prone, injury riven, completely unbalanced. We’ve got no premier league standard striker, and no fit premier league standard defender. It’s a death trap. Only British coaches from far smaller teams will be interested or absolute ego maniacs from abroad who fancy some sort of miraculous turn around in the hoping of getting a bigger European job. Any up and coming prodigy or established trophy winner would not touch the sick man of the premier league.
Just no. This has a feeling of when Liverpool got bullied into appointing Hodgson by the media because he was English and flavour of the month.
With Dyche, kiss goodbye to any ambition to challenging for the top 4. It would signal that we had our chance in the summer, blew it and are reverting to plucky old Everton. We have been stung and are reaching out for our comfort blanket. It may also signal that Moshiri will no longer be funding us like he was.
There is a manager out there, who you don't need to pay compensation for, who would guarantee us premier league safety and who would happily leave in the summer with a bonus for keeping us up. But because of his past, this club won't touch him with a barge pole.
We are Everton "and do things the right way." And if that hinders Everton's ability to compete, challenge for the top, so be it. We won the being nice competition.
Classic illustration of the mismanagement they had blighted this club for 30 years.
Nothing will be the same
He’s a perfect fit.
A manager that’s has been relegated in recent years to take charge of a team half of which have been relegated in recent years.
If success breeds success what does failure breed?
Do one Everton.
20% stakeSky don't own Skybet though.
The amount of bets taken on new managers is minimal, not a massive market at all.
Nothing will be the same
Do people honestly not care about being entertained watching Everton?
It's not like Dyche 's brand of football wins anything.
Agreed. Sad state of affairs really - is there really much difference between Tuchel and Dyche, other than Tuchel got a chance? Don’t really have an answer, but Dyche clearly plays the way he does to be effective, which he is. Burnley in 7th is a great showing. Maybe we need a totally fresh approach with someone who can kick arse because something is wrong.I doubt there’d ever be a British manager that people would warm to immediately if offered the Everton job. Howe plays good attacking football and had worked miracles at Bournemouth but no one wants him. Allardyce’s footbsll isn’t as good but he’s a proven record of getting results and wins v top sides but no one wants him, Dyche is more balanced but apparently also isn’t good enough for us. Any European name at all is mentioned though and it’s ‘get him in Moshiri lad show some ambition’.
Not sure if I want him or not but are we really not wanting him because he isn’t a foreign manager? , he’s plays the way he does because he’s effective with the players ge’s Got.
