We have to accept the mess we are in. If Dyche does come in he gets my full backing to sort this mess out and stabilise us. Do I want a winner who plays excellent football of course but look at our squad , look at the league, look at the chaos of the season we are down if we don't sort out the shambles. Koeman and Walsh have set us back years. Dyche has over achieved on a small budget and done well with Watford too. Koeman was a name look what happened there. We need to rebuild now maybe we can go again if and when this is sorted. He isn't glamourous but he might just do the rebuilding job required. He could be the Moyes type after Walter Smith.

We're not capable of playing any sort of attractive football with these players though, our one and only concern at the moment is picking up whatever points we can. Style-wise, I really don't know what the answer is.

I have no real informed opinion on Dyche but you can't really judge on it those facts - Burnley have a fraction of the cash that Everton has spent and a much smaller income. Everyone had them down for relegation favourites and they comparatively did unbelievably well last season and are doing well this. Still not my first choice but then I'm not sure who is.

TBH I wanted someone more exciting such as Tuchel for instance, but thinking about it, we are in the relegation zone, looking like we have little stomach for the fight, defence is flimsy and a powderpuff attack. ( You were correct Dave ). Do we really think a foreign manager would be right at this time ? I think, I could be wrong, we need a manager who knows the PL and knows how to get the best out of this present bunch of players and who won't send us down. Dyche or someone of his cut though not ideal would have to make do, we need someone to steady the ship and ensure we are safe. ( Corrective spelling Dyche became Douche then) , maybe that says a lot about my post !
