proper world class managers are renowned for taking over relegation facing teams aren't they... errrr Nope!

look at where we have finished in the last 3 or 4 years and where we currently sit.

think about that,at the very very very best we are a seventh place finish in the prem.

world class managers want to come and win trophies and titles, not get their ass's handed to them on a plate and made to look foolish (ie:koeman style)

a lot of managers will be thinking, ' look whats happened to koeman at Everton, do I really want to risk all that"

we are where we are.

Dyche and Allardyce type's.

If he wasn't so painful to look at I think he would be quite a popular choice :p in all seriousness he's done an incredible job at Burnley, he did ok at Watford as well but was fired soon after the Italians walked through the door so they could hire Gianfranco Zola.

I don't get the comparisons with Eddie Howe; Bournemouth have spent a lot of money since they came into the premier league, Burnley are a sell to buy team with a budget that is probably close to a mid level championship club so his record is very, very good.

However watching Burnley play is depressing, there is no quality in their team at all outside of the energy and the occasional Brady set piece. Huge questions as well about whether he can implement his all energy style on this group as well, who have proven themselves lazy cretins for two different managers now. How will he cope in January as well with likely a huge wad to blow?

Glad it's not me that has to make this decision.

Ultimately it depends how much money is available. If we do have bundles of money to spend we wouldn't find it difficult attract a top manager.

If we don't then we should go for Big Sam or Dyche. I think I would prefer Big Sam just because I think he might give is more chance at winning the derby and is less risky. That said Dyche has earned his chance so I would be more than willing to give him a go.

I hate the football they both play but even I wouldn't want a manager that plays a possession expansive game in our situation.

koeman was promised the world and got sold a pup.

in 3 windows the board / wlash / moshiri failed massively on getting targets over the line.

this will not change as long as all them lot are still at the helm.

I'm quite certain, a fair few managers would have been watching the \koeman situation unfold and see it for what it was. A COMPLETE SHAMBLES, and a possible career wrecker

They are not a top 6 club though are they. You mention the current table but I am talking about our ambition as a club. If we want to be aiming for top 6 then get a manager that fits the bill.

A top 6 club is anyone who finishes in the top 6. I don't buy into this Sky top 6 rude word for testicles malarkey.

He deserves a crack at a bigger Club. He was the best most realistic option IMO. He can certainly make us harder to beat in the short term, long term will be interesting though. I’m on board the Dyche bus.
