Season in Review 21/22

As I said in the match thread I think what concerns me the most is going forward I don't know that there is anything from this season to point to and say we won't be right back.

The manager is committing to a system that doesn't work and seems incapable of identifying what his players are actually useful at.

The players largely stink, even the ones we talk about being great aren't good enough to really carry the side.

And I'm not sure we actually have the money to fix it in the summer to a useful extent.

Maybe that is overly negative but we're talking about a huge comeback being the difference between safe and maybe not.

Save it for the 22/23 season preview.

This is my biggest concern as well, he seems committed to the back 3/5. We play so poorly with it and it doesn’t suit the players we have. Not sure why some are convinced he’s playing this formation out of necessity and he’ll be playing a 433 next season. Was his favourite formation at Chelsea too.

See if he's convinced himself that is what is necessary that still concerns me with regard to his abilities.

Has to be a 1, it couldn't be anything else. That being said there has been memorable moments that will live long in the memory. As divided as we where by FSW appointment, we have come together as fans at goodison since his sacking and it felt special to be going the game again, it hasn't felt like that in a long time it reminded us of what we are about. And hopefully Frank can be that young progressive manager that we need with fresh ideas and a set of bollocks to back it.

If this season isn’t a catalyst for real substantial change for the better then there is no point as we will continue to be an also ran who may find themselves facing the drop again.

Let’s see how some react to any potential board criticism. I have an idea how that will play out but hope I’m wrong.

It goes without saying that it was a car crash of a season - a complete and utter wreckage. So, there, I said it again. Happy?
