I appreciate it must be a bit frustrating if you're on the list but it's hardly a painful process. They were quite clear all along that there would be a cut off point of yesterday for the initial waitlist. They were never going to be able to release any more info before that because they had no idea what the take up would be, so I don't really know what else they could be expected to do.

I think Bluerobins means checking emails TODAY. We know the cut-off was yesterday, and no information would be available before that - but people on the wait list (me included) now want to know what is happening.
And I get that, but it's hardly a painful process that you haven't had an email 14 hours after the very first moment you could have, and over four months before the first game you'd be going to. Like I say, I get that people want to know for excitement purposes etc, but I just don't see how it's a major failing from the club to not be able to tell people how many season tickets are available within hours of the last lot being sold.

Yep, understand your point and I agree it's not a "major failing" by the club. Am just keen to find out where I stand, is all. Will just have to wait and see.
I sent the club an email about the next stage in the season ticket process and they responded very quickly with,
"There is going to be an update coming from the waiting list department some point this month that is all the information we have, we don't have access to the data on our end or if there is going to be anymore tickets made available. The update will come through to the Email registered to your Season Ticket account".
I assume they are looking at how many in Tier 1 are available and how many season tickets are available.

Agreed, they have to dot all the t's & i's for the current season tickets first, including any grievances in terms of what fans who have already purchased tickets request.
There is also probably some sort of cooling off period

I’m 10001-12000 and have 2 years membership and have been on the waiting list since it began. Nightmare. At least I know it’ll be a while away before I get one.
Such a shame that there’s over 12000 on the waiting list and they couldn’t meet demand in terms of the new stadium capacity.

The season ticket/waiting list situation has been further clouded somewhat by that lad Ryan on Follow Everton who has been posting genuinely helpful and interesting YouTube videos showing which seats are available for selection by eligible season ticket holders, but who has constantly said such as ‘There are 8000 season tickets left….now there are 4500 season tickets left’ etc. Anyone on the waiting list watching that would’ve thought, ‘Great, there’s loads left…I may get one’. They were not ‘season tickets’! They were simply seats that were available to eligible people to choose from. Fair play to the lad for putting those videos up, but he should have been much more precise in his wording.

I think not so long ago the club said there were over 30,000 on the waiting list, not 12,000.
Yeah I caught one of his videos yesterday, I thought to myself he's massively giving a lot of people false hope here. He even went as far as to say he thought it would "definitely drop down to people with 4 OMs, and probably even 3". He was chatting complete wham in that context all honesty.

I think it’s all speculation - nobody knows how many they’ve sold or how many more they’re going to sell (versus GA tickets)

I didn’t see the video in which he said that, which were crazily speculative remarks. However, the very fact he said that at all suggests he really did think that every ‘green seat’ he could see would be a season ticket seat and that more people on the waiting list would be offered one.

The key thing to note is the maximum season tickets allowed is 80% of capacity.
Taking that number, the max allowed would be just over 42,000. With 31000 from Goodison already and say no more than 4000 invited to purchase from the waiting list (my wife was 4500 and didn’t get in so it may be fewer) that gets you to c35000 before considering hospitality.
Now I’m no expert when it comes to these matters but I would suspect if any allocations are given they will probably be minimal considering the limitations on number of STs allowed. The difficulty may be how Everton administer the allocation as I would be surprised if all of 4 year members on the list get access to purchase. Only time will tell.
