Season Ticket Waitlist

Minefield?

Is it a case of existing ST holders from GP and those on the wait list don't fancy the North/North West corner and so any remaining ST seats will be offered to those who have 'just' had a membership the longest?

I definitely think there will be. Due to drop outs and move to hospitality if nothing else. 43,800 standard home seats - 31,000 season tickets + 4,000 new season tickets = 8,800 which seems very high (and risky) for match by match tickets. I reckon Goodison only has 2-3k at the mo
Don’t forget there are (apparently) 5500 hospitality seats too.

Yes, pretty well the same as the 4750 mentioned by another poster about a week ago. No-one would have been hanging about after they became eligible, so the number hasn’t changed.
I do wonder if they’re going to sell those 4,700 as ST’s and the plan is for 4,000 match by match tickets available across the ground to spread them out

It’s a possibility. Having (it seems) issued 4000 season tickets to the 12 March newbies, I wonder if it’s realistic that they’d now more than double it by offering all those 4750 as additional season tickets. The email received back in December by those who weren’t offered a season ticket then mentioned the possibility of ‘a limited number’ of additional season tickets being offered after 31 March. ‘This will depend on factors including the renewal rate of existing season ticket members and uptake from those supporters higher in the waiting list’. I was once told (but with what accuracy I couldn’t say) that the number of annual season ticket renewals at Goodison was about 98%. If the new stadium has seen 98% take up by existing season ticket holders and so too has the new offering on 12 March, that would suggest 2% of 35k are still available - being 700 tickets.

No… tier 1 members are banded by two things: number of memberships held since 2018/19 and years on the waiting list. I’d imagine anybody within 10k on the original May 2024 bands emailed out stand a chance
Ah right. If i was the case i was going to sign up. Planned to get the official membership next year to get on the waiting list anyway, thinking ahead a few years when the babies are a bit older and i can get over to more games each season.

I’d sign up for the waiting list and make sure you buy membership each year to stay in tier 1. Also bear in mind even if you get to the front of the queue you retain your position on the waiting list the following season if you don’t take up on purchasing one

I’ll be interested to see if your suggestion of the top 10k on the waiting list having a chance of a season ticket proves to be the case. Of course 4k of that 10k definitely do have one because they’ve already been informed of that and selected their seats. I think you’re also on to something when you highlight that the top 10k on the list are divided into bands of 500 and those lower on the list aren’t. However, if the club do offer a further 6000 season tickets, that would be very different to the possible ‘few’ extras referred to in their email of last December.

We already have the highest ratio of ST seats to capacity in the PL, and the club sees this as limiting revenue. Yes, it provides security in terms of attendance.

I'll be paying roughly £45 per match for my ST, whereas members tickets will likely be closer to the £60-70 mark and will bring more revenue in the shop et al.
