The CB pairing is definetly a huge matter of contention.

We all know Moyes prefers jags in front of anyone, and he wants Distin cause he's the natural left-footer. This was also the partnership that started the last derby. Also, jags & distin was the pairing for Norwich, and heits came in for distin on monday, which indicates maybe distin is being rested cause of his age and so on.

So yeah. I think Heitinga will be on the banch come kickoff time, world cup final or no world cup final. Actually, the fact he got sent off in the world cup final will probably work against him forever.

As for Drenthe - i am relishing the idea of deploying him on the right wing and giving him license to shoot at Jones from distance. It is undoubtedly not such a bad idea. Osman's right foot on the left wing to try the same kind of goals as on monday, and of course gibbo having a go or two. I'd rather that than going for the crosses. They're stronger in the air than on the ground - their midfield has nothing on us, except for gerrard. Gibbo and felli are going to swallow henderson and spearing whole!

Yeah we will have a better team out but I don't think it will come down to who's in goal. I think it will be who plays with the more desire, who chases down every ball. We need to do to them what they did to us in the last derby.

I am very nervous at all the confidence going into this game. We all know that they have a sign over us. We need to respect them as they are still a decent team with players who can hurt us. And even if they weren't, the derby is still the derby. Form goes out of the window. If we turn up, we can beat them as I believe that at this current moment in time, we have a better side (although they have money and will no doubt make some decent buys in the summer). That's all I can say atm. Am I supremely confident we will turn up? Definatly not. Everton scare the **** out of me.

I think there will be many seasoned Evertonians who know where your coming from there. If we all turn up, in my opinion we win, but history tells us it's a mighty big 'if'. What a tremendous opportunity to lay the ghost of Clive Thomas etc. Lets hope Howard Webb puts his lucky Fergie boxers on for the day.

It'll be Heitinga and Distin same as it was against Sunderland.
 
We are not getting beat, its simply not happening in any shape or form. This time and I mean this TIME we are not shrinking into midgets, we are not going to be developing the shakes like some detoxing alkee, we are not going to be doing any collective impressions of the proverbial rabbit in a headlight, we are going to be taking one long hard motherf*cking look in the mirror and asking ourselves if we think we are the men we claim to be and that answer is going to be a defiant YES. Everyone from the tea lady to Moyes himself better get it into their skulls that being second best on any front on saturday is a crime to the long noble history of Everton FC and an affront to all those connected with the club who are no longer with us.

Make no mistake they will be watching on saturday aswell as those still here, those of us still here will make sure that THEY are not heard as we are already sick to death of hearing them, the time has come to shut them up with a royal stuffing.
