I’m thinking tie following lines:

- every time Morocco is mentioned as plucky semi final opponents “could have been England”.

- England fans should watch and learn what the business end of World Soccer looks and feels like.

- England fans compromised their own team to exit because Southgate is a good human and makes them feel insecure

- England have never beaten a top team on foreign soil in any tournament during the knock out stages

- England fans thought they could win the tournament, lol.

We arent Welsh, Irish or Scottish and then you lose.

No.

I've seen Cruyff, Maradona and Messi in my time.

In this order I'd rate them

1/ Maradona
2/ Cruyff
3/ Messi

Maradona for a complete player
Cruyff for his ability and tactical nous on the pitch as well as off it
Messi for his balance, control and dribbling abilty

That's a hierarchy that wont be affected by any result on Sunday.

When you say complete, is it his cheating that you think sets him apart from the rest. Especially as he used it to his advantage so well.

Was watching a video of him in the 1990 World Cup where he had a mixed tournament and in one of the group games he handballed one on the line to prevent a goal and he admitted he got lucky again there. 2 World Cups where he got away with cheating.

None of that matters. It only matters to Little Englanders who cant get over the greatest player of all time giving their team a pasting in the WC in '86.

Its still really the same countries competing for the top prize through really mate, maybe France and Croatia are new money - but Yugoslavia always had good sides.
